Female speaking not good english, said they had something come into their office about me, and asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my SS#--  Asked who she was with and she continued yapping on--  Told her the call was over & hung up--  This is second or third time I got a call from this #, but first calls hung up--  SMELLS like a scam--

Msg on a answering machine identifying himself as calling from Van Ru Credit Corp trying to collect a debt. I called back because I am not in arrears on any debt but have gotten many calls in the past looking for a particular person. I have had this number for more than six years and it is still associated with someone's debt. When I called back the person did not have caller ID and would not tell me who he was looking for? He said he would remove my number from the acct (again) but who knows. There is a real Van Ru Credit Corp but no way to know if the call really came from them.

Received a call just now, a lady was asking for a person with my name. The reason I'm saying 'my name' is that when I provided the last 4 digit of my social, it did not match the one they had. She apologized that they have reached the wrong party, and the call was over.

However, I've received a lot of calls like this, it's probably a debt collector. So, IF YOU HAD A MISSED CALL and are looking for something to decide to CALL BACK or not, just DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

i would get a call from them at least once or twice a week! they seem to not leave me alone! i know that i don't owe anything at all! i wish they would stop calling me! is there anyway i can get rid of them or to have them stop calling me? i'm so sick and tired of this!
