got a call from 888 224 5557 ext 420 ref file #xxxxxxx what the heck is this???? I didn't call back

This seems like its a collection agency and everytime they seem to send a mass automated call, my number is the same with the exception its not a 888 number (so people in the same area code who dont dial a 1 call my personal cell!!!!). This sucks! I wish they would tell people to dial a 1 first!!

i got this call from 888-224-5557 and don't know who it is. How can I find out who and why they called and how they got my number?

they call me multiple times a day, shows up on my caller id as 800 services and i answered one call but different number same id and she says shes my spetic lady in the area, i told her remove my number from list calling me 20 times a day is illegal and she did

Automated message was left for the person who had my cell phone number before me (as I have received many calls for him over the last year, and have never heard of him). Sounds like a collection agency.

I came back from lunch to find a voicemail from this number.  How the hell do you hang up or terminate a call when it is a voicemail they are talking to and not a person?

The guy says:

Hello, this message is for (name).  This is Matt. (first name), please hang up or terminate this call now.  By continuing to listen to this message, you acknowledge that you are (name).

You should not listen to this message out loud so other people can hear it because it does contain personal and private information.

There will now be a 3-second pause.

Next guy (sounds exactly like the first guy) says:

This is David from CSB/True North A.R.  This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.  Please call me back at (888)224-5557.  My extension is 81246.  Have a great day and I look forward to hearing from you.

Was a call for my boyfriend, the caller said his name was Michael Aderle (?). Said it was from a company called "True North". I asked what it was regarding and he said "Business". Since my boyfriend was looking for a job I thought it was regarding that at first. But the man was kinda pushy and seemed to be in a hurry. Asked me if I was his wife, what time he was going to be home and a cell phone number to get a hold of him. I gave him no information.

Attemptping to collect a debt. I am not aware of any debt. Referred me to call back a totally different number: 877-733-7452

They call &  with YouMail and Who are you they're ditchep

I agree with this comment.  I too have limited minutes, they also call my home number.

if you get this number it is Santander , maybe your late on your Auto loan !!! very nice people considering they want money.

We've gotten this message several times a day for at least 6 months, it's exactly the message stated above by CaliforniaGal. We have a perfect credit rating and no debt.
This is the number they leave to call back 1-888-224-5557.
Somebody oughtta sue these guys.

They keep calling my cell and asking for a kim.. Please stop calling my cell.. i don't know how they got my number, but wish they would stop calling my cell for this person..

I receive calls from this number about 10 times a day. I answer it a automated machine and when I try to talk to someone to tell them they have the wrong number, nobody here by that name. They apologize claim they will remove my number but at 7:55 AM I'm getting calls again ugh
