I got a call too. The message says it's CIBC but I don't nor ever have banked with them. Prob a telemarketer

Keeps calling my cell, I called back from landline - the message said it was Vox Data on behalf of CIBC. It's gotta be an autodialer since I have no business with CIBC.

Of course, it is a scam! My cell number is a total secret; only my husband has the number. Very annoying....

Received call from this number again today, August 17th, 2011 at 2:49pm. Annoying.

I got a call again today. The company name is Vox Data. They are calling on behalf of CIBC bank to offer a new credit card to earn miles with Aeroplan.

This is Vox Data calling on behalf of CIBC.  I asked CIBC they had never heard of them, highly suspect to a scam.

I wish there was a 'scam' type tag to associate, but 'Prank' will have to do.  I would not recommend taking this call serious.

I wonder if this is Rogers' doing.... trying to waste away my pay-us-you go credit...

They called me today and asked to speak to Mrs (Husband's first and last name). Now, considering I never changed my name, anyone with legitimate business with me would know my name. So I said "Oh, there is no such person as Mrs So-and-so. You MUST be a telemarketer." He quickly apologized and hung up!

yeah, they have been calling my cell twice a day for a coupel weeks now.  driving me nuts.  I tried to answer once, but no-one was there.

I have gotten calls from this number on my cell phone every day for the past six months, while I have been in Afghanistan serving with the military.  Obviously I didn't answer it as the roaming charges would have been ridiculous, but just getting the calls was annoying as hell.  You'd think they'd give up after a while...

I've just received what seems like the 20th call from this number myself but this time someone actually was on the line! It was VOX Data as mentioned earlier in this thread. They said they were calling on behalf of CIBC then mentioned Aeroplan. That's how they got my number.

I told them to put me on the do not call list and to fix their damn computer due to all the stupid hang ups. I even received a couple calls while I was out of the country.

My recommendation is to go to the Aeroplan.com website and change your communication preferences so that they don't call again (or remove your telephone number from the account). It will take up to 30 days for that to take effect.

This makes sense to me as I started getting these calls about 2-3 weeks ago and I just signed up with Aeroplan about a month ago. I decided to look it up when I received 6 calls from them this evening in a 3 hour window!

it's from vox communications of behalf of CIBC to apply for a new credit card (specifically CIBC visa) and get aeroplan miles. just answer it if you can and ask to be taken off the phone list, ignore their sales pitch crap.

I provided my information on February 9th... expecting to receive a CBIC Visa and never received it. I called CIBC today and was informed they had no record of my application.

1-888-229-2330, they told me it was VOXCOM on their answering device when I called the number back...... Don't know who this VOXCOM call center or company is.

Recently within the past 2 months I get these suspicious phone numbers on my call display 1 - 888 , 1 -877

Yesterday, I had a suspicious call from another call centre MET something in Ontario.  I took their number too. I called them back. They were looking for an individual who I don't know, but I keep getting calls for him, I've told some of the parties (if I am home to get the phone) to take my number off their list but it isn't working.

They Met credit adjusters were supposed to take my number off their list yesterday.  Apparently this person who they are looking for, has given a bad number to some kind of collection agency (now I'm thinking there is more than one agency) & I keep getting alll these *&^%$#@*&^%$% calls.

Irate I guess i'm irate !. Now this one 1 - 888 - 229 - 2330.

Called me on two occasions.  I did not answer, and they did not leave a message.  Glad to find information here.
