Call on my cell from this number. ID shows "restricted caller." Didn't answer; no message left.

Unknown location of caller. No message left on my mobile voicemail.

Bogus non-profit robocall that wants you to donate your car. Goes by different names. For me they used "Vehicles for Vets." I am on the national Do Not Call List, which so-called non-profits do not legally have to respect, although they can if they choose to do so. If you call the number you get a voicemail (no human) that tells you to leave a message and they'll call you back. Very evasive.

Called at 8:00am!!   Recorded message for donating cars for vets!!!

I answered a call from "Donate That Car" (aka "Vehicles for Vets") on 10/12/15.  I answered purposely to request that they delete my phone number from their calling list.  The person I spoke to assured me that it had been done.

Well, guess what? Today at 1:57 PM (10/30/15) I got another call from them. The voicemail recording had a female voice; same as before.  I tried to call back at (888) 237-3555, but there was no answer.  My caller ID displayed a number that was different from the call back number listed in the message: (713) 487-4992.  I am keeping a record of the calls I receive from them, since I asked that my phone number be taken off their calling list.

Has anyone else received a call from that number?

Do you know how long organizations have to take someone off a calling list once a request has been made?

I received another robocall from 949-777-2290.  I listened through the recording and selected the option to speak with a live rep.  They do have an option to simply have your number removed, but this obviously did not work.  Ted answered the line.  I sarcastically offered that I am about to contribute my frustration for the constant unwanted calls and asked for his name, twice because all I heard was the company name in response.  Ted immediately went on a profanity-laced tirade because he alleged he stated his name already and continued to yell in my ear about the fact there was an option to remove my number.  He straight up said f*** you and more than once!  When I asked to speak with his supervisor, this is when he offered another f*** you and hung up.  I dialed the number I had originally received the call from -- to no avail as the 949 number is a spoof.  I tracked down this 888 number for the same charity and dialed, and lo and behold, Ted answered!  I let him know who I was and not surprisingly, he hung up but this time without the colorful language.  He's continued to ignore my calls and when I do get him on the line to ask for a supervisor, he politely replies, "There are no supervisors, we are here on a volunteer basis," before disconnecting the call.   Volunteers?  Charity?  I effin think not.
