I was receiving continuous phone calls phone this number asking for a Bobby Remier (who was obviously the last person to have my phone number) shortly after I moved to Fredericton and got a new phone number. An automated recording would tell me to call the number back during the hours provided (which weren't always consistent with the hours when they were calling). The last straw was this morning at 9am (a Saturday, I'm a law student and it's the only day I get to sleep in). I phoned the number back to be removed from their list and the representative was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I told him about the mistake and said that the person they were trying to contact must have been the last person to have this phone number and gave him the number and the name. Then he asked for my name and I told him that was irrelevant and to please just remove my number from their list. He said in an extremely rude and sarcastic tone, that he didn't have to do that and if I didn't give him my name, he wouldn't take the number off the list. I said he was being extremely rude and asked to speak to a manager, then he told "there are no managers around so you get to deal with me". I asked him to provide me with more information about his company and he refused and said there was nothing I could do about it. Then he hung up in my ear. I am disgusted that people like him can be hired for jobs where they deal with people and that this company is willing to have someone like that representing them.

These guys are COMPLETE [***].... Please if you believe for ANY reason that they have broke the Collection Agencies Act (which is easily accessable on the net) PLEASE contact the Ministry of small bus. and consumer affairs and file a ministry complaint against the collector calling you!!! These guys need to be straightened out and unless we take action they won't. Asking a collector for their license # always helps them get the hint that you mean business :)

These people call me everyday, and its the same lady. She ask for the guy who had this number before and I always say he doesnt live here and then she ask if I know where he lives and I always say I dont even know who he is. She has asked me if this is a new number for me a couple times and Ive said yes but she still fricking calls here!!

I kept on getting phone calls from them, while I was working, with my family, whenever. Asking for Brandon Scott, obviously I'm a female and am not Brandon Scott. I finally called back today, got a representative and the second I stated they keep on calling me and need to remove me from the list they hung up. I can't believe this is allowed to happen without any repercussions. If there was anyway to shut this down I would in a second.

Get call display and an answering machine. Saves you time. These idiots have been calling me for nearly a year. If they are that stupid about collections they should give up.

Called the number back and asked to be removed from the list. The representative was actually polite and said my number will be removed. Now let's see if this actually happens.

If you want collectors to stop calling you, then pay your bills!!!!!!!

The number shows up on my a least once a day around 1:30 p.m.  Since I don't know the number, I don't answer it.  It seems  to be a collection agency.  How are they getting past the do not call registry.  Have my phone phone and cell numbers on the list.  I wish something to be done with collection agencies who think that they can call all the time even if you are not in arrears on any bills.

we are just simply sick and tired of being harassed FOR NO REASON! when a person states they have the wrong number then they should STOP calling!

You should know that many people have tried unsuccessfully to get the credit reporting agencies to clean-up erroneous info they have on someone.  There's no incentive for them to do so and they usually are unresponsive.

So, you can own no one & still get collection calls due to errors on the part of the big three credit reporting agencies having someone else's debt info in your credit report.

You should also know that there can often be several of "you" in the US....other people with your same name.  There are 5 of "me" in my state alone & populationwise, this place ain't all that big so imagi9ne some densely populated state like CA!

If one of those other "yous" owes some company, you could wind-up being harassed by collection agencies.  The collection agencies don't give a damn if they have the wrong person...they have a name & a number and they will harass the life out of you until you take them to court!

With you attitude, it would be nice if this happened to you, then you'd have a better understanding of how things work.
