Newspaperarchive.com.  Once subscribed it's almost impossible to cancel. They provide a good service overall but want to keep their claws in you forever.  It's a renewal call if you credit card on file has expired.

This is apparently newspaper archive.com and they are constantly contacting me via my mobile cell number. I used their service once for online research, when they were unable to renew my subscription when a credit card expired, I did not provide new credit card information as I do not need or want the service. They can't seem to accept "no" for an answer.  Avoid using newspaper archive.com unless you wish to be harassed for life.

It's NewspaperArchive, again convinced my perfectly fine credit card isn't working. Yet they don't leave a message, and often hang up when I answer.

They called twice today, and both time hung up when I answered. Perhaps their goal is to leave a message. A nice app, too bad they resort to calls. They did send emails for a while after I let membership lapse.

The customer agreement for NewspaperArchives.com that you clicked "Accept" to start up their service tells you that they get to bill you even if you cancel your credit card, that you will accumulate late payment fees, and then will be turned over to collection agencies.  Avoid at all costs.

getting phone calls 1 or more daily. No message left on answering machine. Called NewspaperArchive dot com (888-845-2887) and talked with Carla.  She flat out denies that the 888 238 3260 phone number is theirs.  Said the number i used to call them is the only number for their organization.  I am not sure if this is true as her demeanor of hesitating before answering my questions and some dead sound moments makes me think she was getting directions from someone on how to respond.  She did confirm our account has been "de-activated".

This is Newspaper Archive. The best way to cancel is to change your credit card information first. Then, call the toll free number on their website. Finally, send an email to customerservice@newspaperarchive.com and state that you want to cancel your subscription plan with the cancellation date you want and give the date and time you called. Save their email response as your proof of cancellation just in case.

Am speaking with Carla at this time (12:05 p.m. Central Time, US) because I know that I do not want to renew my subscription.  It had automatically renewed on April 3rd.  They will be closing my account and refunding my money.  Now it is wait and see if they actually send me an email stating they are closing my account and that they have refunded my money.   Just checked my email (12:12 p.m. Central Time, US) and there is the email I was looking for stating that they have cancelled my account and that my refund should be back into my account within 4-7 days.  Now, I will wait for that.

I am tired of my daily repeated calls from this number with hang ups at the other end.  I can't even speak to anyone to tell them to stop calling me!

I'm sorry if I seem a little dense for even asking this but: what exactly do u mean by "1st change your credit card info"? What do I do & how would I go about it? I only have a pay-as-you-go/prepaid credit card & no other. I just read another comment on here that said once u agree to their terms u are actually still charged for the service even if u cancel it,they can/will charge u late fees &"send you to collection " to get their money's worth out of u. U seem very knowledgeable on this matter so any help u might be able to offer would be so truly & greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!

As "How to Cancel" posted in April that person is unlikely to come back on here and see your post.  However, it would seem that by "change your Credit Card information" it means ask for a new Credit Card which will, of course, have a different number to the one you have now.  As for cancellation the advice is clear.  Try the toll free number and tell them you are cancelling your subscription  on (date).  A month's notice is reasonable.  Then send them an e-mail as "How to Cancel" suggests, giving the cancellation date and the time and date of your e-mail.  Tell them you want a confirmation e-mail within 7 days. Save your e-mails I would think that, having done that, it would be illegal for the company to do any of the things they threaten.  However, you could check with the Consumer Advice organisations you have in your country.

Received call from this number the s morning. Did not identify themselves except to say my credit card was due to expire and I needed to provide information in order to receive a new card. I asked st least 6 times what card are you referring to and he would not say anything except I'm pulling your account up give me a moment. He said he had my account pulled and told me the last four numbers of the card. I recognized them as my bank debit card and told him I knew the card was due to expire and in the past, I had always been sent a new one before it expired. He explained that its not conducted automatically anymore, that I have to request an updated card and he would happy to assist me. My radar was screaming red flag, so I declined and told him I would get in touch with my bank. I immediately called my bank and they had no record of such call to me from them. We submitted a suspicious call report, canceled my card and will receive a new card in a week. My bank also informed me they do not call for such things and I was correct, near expiration date they automatically send a new card. I have noticed a lot of comments about this number relate back to newspaper archives. I did just sign up with them not to long ago. This caller did not identify himself as a representative of the company at any time during the call. Logically, it is possible it was them but I cannot be sure. After reviewing all the comments canceling my card for a few short days is safer, and I am assured my account won't be compromised with unwanted purchases and subscriptions since some companies can't take no for an answer and it's quick fix as opposed to fighting with them forever to cancel.

Did get a call back from 888-238-3260 which I was not around to answer. Prior to that I did call the number of NewspaperAchive.com which is 888-845-2887 to notify of canceling my service and that the password would not work that  they emailed to me which I was trying to get in so as to cancel. Just called today and did get an answer and asked them to cancel and my trouble of logging on.
They told me I had to go through Stars&Stripes.com to cancel and going Newspaper Archive wouldnt work. I completely forgot about the other site before they told me. They did cancel my service and a email notification.
