- GeorgeOverseas call center claiming to be (and calling on behalf of) my credit union. Checking on an unusual charge on my debit card to make sure I authorized the transaction.
- GailSame as George comment above. Checking on unusual credit card activity on behalf of my credit union. "Eric" said he was from my credit union. He called my sister in law's house asking for me but since I haven't lived there for 5 years she knew something fraudulent was up. When she called the number back to check it out they gave a completely different business name.
- LaurenI got a call this morning from them. I have Life Lock so I figured it had something to do with that. I bought a flat screen last night so it all adds up. Still didn't answer the call though. I already new I bought it lol

- Big Bad JohnCall from Lockheed (or company paid by lockheed) credit union to verify a couple of transactions made over the last 2 days.
I gave them last 4 of my social, they then asked about transactions I did over the last 2 days. They knew the what the transactions were so it seems legit. - JC| 2 repliesYes, I received a letter today containing my full name, and the last 4 numbers of my debit card! These jerks!!!!! Who the hell do they think they are? My financial institution ALWAYS calls me immediately if there's a problem.

- ArielleThese guys are legit, they are looking out for you making sure all your money is in order!
- they must knowI didnt answer.
- DianaYes, I am absolutely sure that these guys are open 24/7 just to make sure there are not unauthorized transactions. I had to "big" purchases in three days, and they called to verify. I am glad they have this service. I didn't answer first, but then called them back, everything is ok.
- GabeI just called and it seems like it's legit. They called and left a voicemail and in a couple of days I received a text message. So I called at 2 in the morning and they were open 24 hours like they said. So crossing my fingers.
- Good ServiceIt's a 3rd party institute that calls on behalf of your bank or credit union to verify suspicious activity. I made two out of the ordinary large purchases last night and they just wanted to ensure my card wasn't lost or stolen. I only had to confirm my name, they then stated the stores, cities and amounts of my charges and I just had to say yes they were mine. They called my cell twice and work to make sure they got a hold of me. I'm glad to know my account is being watched in case it ever is compromised.
- AshleyThey called on a Saturday morning and left a message saying they were calling on behalf of my Credit Union and wanted to verify some recent activity on my debit card. This concerned me because if anyone had used that debit card recently it would not have been me. But first I went to my Credit Union's website and this phone number didn't show up anywhere on the website. Also I did not have recent activity on my debit card. So I did call back
- Yo replies to JCI got the same letter in the mail. I called my bank instead of the number in the letter and my bank has no notice of such a letter. So, they froze my accounts until they can find out what is going on.
- Yo replies to teeThat number is not the number on the back of my card. I called my bank instead of that number and my bank has no notice of such a letter nor did they note any "suspicious" activity. Thus, my bank froze my accounts because they think this letter is fraud and could potentially be an identity theft attempt.
- MichelleThe call was legit. They called to verify activity on my debit card. It turns out it was fraud. They tried to charge $$$ on my card and thank God it was declined because I didn't have that amount in my acct. My credit union blocked any further transactions on my acct. I have to now get a new card. However, I now have noticed small charges on my statement for under $10 that I have no idea who it is. They start small to see if the account is valid, then they try to use it for big purchases.

- annonomous replies to NicoleThis company monitors debit card activity for credit unions. The company is called co-op financial aka falcon fraud. If you receive a call from this number all they want to do is confirm activity on your debit card for your credit union.P9
- self employed| 1 replyI got a message from a man saying he was with the card member security dept for my credit union. I first called my credit union to ask if they knew anything about the recent purchases that needed to be verified. She didn't see anything in my recent account transactions and verified my account hadn't been flagged or frozen. I gave her the phone number 888-241-2440 to check. She did find this number listed for "their falcon". She asked if the caller id said Falcon. My business number is the same as my cell, therefore no name appeared on my caller id. She instructed me to return the call immediately to verify the purchases before they froze the account for security reasons. This is a legit company. I got the message early enough to call my credit union the same day during business hours. I'm glad my credit union uses this company. The purchases they needed to verify were from earlier the same day. I got the call about 90min after my last purchase today. I did make a couple of purchases online, which I don't usually do.
