Seems to be these "Labor Law" folks.  They make it sound like they are with the government but they are trying to sell labor law posters I think.  Told them our corp office is in another state.

A woman called at 12 noon Oct 6.  She claimed she was from the "Federal Labor Law Office", and needed me to supply her with info so that she could mail me a "labor law packet".  I asked her for her phone number so that I could verify who she said she was.  She wouldn't do it.  She said that she needed the info RIGHT NOW.  I told her that she did not need it at all.  Then I hung up and dialed *69.

I kept asking the loud mouth lady if "this was a sales call?"  She would not answer the question and then hung up.  Scum bags.

Absolute scumbags.  They called and left me 386 (I'm not making that up) messages in one day!  I called the number back and it says "Thank you for calling the Federal Labor Law Office, we attempted to contact you....please contact us so you can be in compliance..."  They then give you three options, 1 for a sales representative, 2 for a customer service representative, and 3 to be removed from their call list.  No matter what option you press, it tells you that you are on hold and number 2 in line.  After two minutes it says you are now number 1 in line.  After another minute, it dumps you into a voicemail box.

They just called me from 888-242-1185, and acted like they are a federal agency. The guy just said that they are going to mail me posters so that I can be in compliance with federal labor laws. I gave them my address. At the end he stated that it is just a $189 fee. Then he asked the name of my bank. From then I suspected a scam. I asked him the name of his company; he kept repeating "Federal Labor Law Office". He would not give me a name or address. That is when I googled the number, which took me to this site. A minute ago I called them and aked the lady who picked the phone to cancel that "order". She just hanged up on me.

    Almost Duped Again
Just got a call from a woman(unidentified) saying that I had to have all the posters, that they, the Federal labor Law Office was contracted through the federal government, that starting in 2012 all businesses, corporations and small, had to have all the posters on the walls or they will be fined, that they will send them all out to me and that it will be shipped to my location. She knew my address but asked for my name and suite because she did not know them.  She said she was contacting me to make sure I was in compliance . I asked is her company was part of the federal government and she said Yes, her company is contracted through the federal government to supply the posters. I said I was never contacted before, and she said it must be because of my new address. She asked if I had a new business, I said no, she asked if I had a new phone number, I said no (I recently moved to a new building in the same area so my building number and suite number changed, that was all. She said once I had the posters I would be completely compliant and would not have to update them. Then she said if the posters change, only the changed one needed to be updated. She also told me small businesses would now have the 100% deduction and when I asked what that meant she said there is a bill in the works to get the 100% tax deduction.  I said, for what, for the posters? She Said Yes,

At the end of the conversation she said the cost would be $189 and asked for my credit card, debit card or checking account numbers. I said I don't know you and since some just tried to scam me through email for credit card processing I am very leary of giving any financial information. I asked for a phone number to call into and she said that is fine and that she is not offended by the request. (Actually she seems more interested in knowing how the attempted prior scam happened,) She told me I could call 888-242-1185.  I called and they answer that they are the federal labor law office and that I was recently contacted because my posters are not in compliance. (Clearly, the woman that called me had no idea if my posters were or were not in compliance.)  I hung up.

I looked on the internet and saw the postings below.

Same call as the others.  Federal labor law.  Needs 189 today by visa or mastercard for lifetime updated posters.  Took my email.  Said she couldn't bill me so I didn't give any other info.  Jerks!

Got a call from 888-242-1185. A woman named Nicole Johnson said she was from the labor compliance bureau and that I was not compliant with the labor law. The conversation went along the same as the previous posts, that I was not compliant, that they are a federal agency, that I would receive a letter on the mail with the posters and I needed to pay $189.
I told her I was calling my lawyer and that I would call her back - I asked for her contact info and she hung up on me...

The Hagglin Hag replies to scam
Too too Funny, Nichole Johnson, huh?, That must be Nikki or at least that's how she just introduced herself when she cslled me.   I am so glad that I have finally hit that place in my life where I can smell a scam. She started asking me questions to which I simply replied, "if you are who you say you are, then you should already know the answer to that question" She hung up on me. I'm still laughing.  I know that telemarketers are annoying (trust me..... I know!!!) but I love screwing with their itty bitty brains. Like talking to them in a "made up" language till they finally figure out I'm not understanding a word they are sying. My grandchildren love it  when their GG (thats me) talks nonsensical gibberish to unsuspecting callers while they listen in on speaker phone.   Life's to short to fight with EVERYBODY that calls me so I figure as long as they are paying for the call Im gonna get my 2cents worth in.. (Most of the time)

    Irritated in Arizona
Just got a call from these folks and was also told that she was a government employee - not a telemarketer.  I listed for a minute but was not fooled by her nonsense.  I use ADP for payroll and know that all my posters are in perfect compliance.  They must have been having a "special" though, as they were only trying to get me to pay $99.  What a scam.

Representative by the name of Chris called early morning, claimed she was from the "Federal Labor Law Office" wanting to sell me labor law posters and that it was important that if i did not have them up that we would be fined. The posters will cost $99.00 after I told her about passing this on to my "human resources" she automatically panic and said to just have them give her a call. I researched the # and found out that they are not even part of the federal government and are just trying to sell you posters about labor laws.  They are telemarketers trying to sell posters and trying to pass on as government workers. "Don't fall for it"

I just had the same issue- the man told me he was a "Federal Agent" and that I was in non-compliance and they were mailing me these posters and I had to pay IMMEDIATELY over the phone.  I asked for his name and a phone number where I could "call back later to pay" and he refused to give them to me.  Then I called the REAL compliance agency and before I could even explain anything they said it was all a scam.

These people have called me a couple of times that I know of (they have left 2 messages and talked to me today).  I told them I need to do some research and would call them back.  I looked up "federal compliance poster" and since I don't have any employees, I don't have to have the posters and if I did you can print them from the government website.

They called all the time. I was able to get them to stop calling by calling back, pressing 1 for sales rep, then informing them to stop calling, that I'm on the do not call list (if not on that list, get on it). I stated I know they are not affiliated with the Department of Labor (actual regulatory body) and that I would lodge a complaint with BBB for harassing calls that violate "do not call" laws, federal fraud laws for trying to trick businesses into believing they were a government entity, and then informed the sales person that the actual posters required cost roughly $10, $20 if it's a bilingual poster, not $189 like they tried to sell me on.

Sales person wanted me off the phone as soon as possible, apologized quickly and haven't heard back from them since.

Just recieved a call from these idiots trying to sell me posters that are actually free.  The caller stated she was in Tampa FL and that I needed to have them fed ex'd immediately so I don't get a fine.  She said the name of the company was Federal Compliance Agency.  I asked her repeatedly if she was a federal agency, which she avoided answering.  She became irate with that question and finally said "I already told you that we are the Federal Compliance Agency".
I'm almost sure that falsly representing a federal agency is a felony.  I am filing a complaint also on this.
