11:10 am 2/19/14 automated call states "we regret to inform you that your MasterCard account has been inactivated. Press 1 to contact customer service". Area code 208.  I hung up

Same thing here.  Same day.  Same area code.

Correction:
The call at 9:53 was to my 917 (mobile) number not 212.

Called me 1 hour after using my card at Walmart, stated that my Master Card had been locked. Asked me to enter my card number.

Got a call from this number, AND (805) 346-3800 (Northern Los Angeles Area, California, United States.
I don't even bank with Wesbanco...

I received a call on my cell phone from 888-247-0216 on 02/16/14 at 12:01 pm stating they are from WesBanco Bank. An automated message was left informing me my debit/credit card had been locked for security purposes and to press one to unlock it.  I do not have an account with WesBanco!

I  just got a call from 888-247-0216 about ten minutes ago ..They said my card was locked and then asked for my 16 digits to my  card ..  what can we do to find out who these people are ???????? Please help  me ..

It's a phishing scam, trying to get numbers out of you.  YOU NEVER GIVE NUMBERS TO FOLKS THAT CALL YOU call your bank to check every time.

These people are 100% crooked!!!

Received a hang-up call from 888-247-0216.  I didn't answer the call because it came up as unknown on my cellphone.  I don't answer calls from people that are not in my phone.  There was no message left.  Tried calling the number but received a fast busy signal.

Same here, got a call from them to my cellphone couple hours ago, I didn't answer. Thanks to others who also posted.
