- DocReceived a call that said that I had ask for info. But I hadn't. tried to sell me a $59 membership in Cheaptrips for a 3 year period offering all sorts of freebies. Siad I didn't want to give my credit card number over phone or internet just send me the info and I would send them a check if I was interested. Said they couldn't do that. Gave me this phone number to call them and said they would call back next Monday. This is Thursday,Oct 9, will wait and see if they call back but will still refuse to do business over the phone.
- Caller: They said it was a branch of Cheap Trips
- S EvansDo not give these scammers your credit info. I made that mistake & my card company and I are still fighting them to give me back my $59. (A service I never used!
- Caller: Cheaptrips
- KelseaDONT TALK TO THEM!! they are scammers. at oone point they wanted me to send them my birth certificate to proe that i am under 18

- baugHey guys I have a great idea! I've been having the same problems as the rest of you. So here is what i propose.
1. Download Skype. Hope you have heard of it.
2. Create a contact for the number +18882481402
3. Call that number over and over on Skype. Its free!
4. Ingore the call turn down the volume on Skype. If some one picks up don't talk to them.
If enough people call over and over their toll free rates go up and up. We can be enough to stop them. let me know if you want to coordinate a mass call all at the same time.- Caller: cheap trips
- Doug C.Yup, don't bother with Cheap Trips. I'm still fighting with them to get $109 back from May '09. What they offer over the phone and what comes to you through the mail is nowhere near the same. Big Rip Off. Also check and watch out for 800-211-5119.

- TQI had 7 missed calls, when I was home and picked up they asked for my husband and then hung up. Weird, but I see others have had the same issues. I do recall about five years ago my husband signed up for Cheaptrips and we haven't done anything with them. I hope they stop calling.
- AmyI have received 8 calls from this # during business days since Nov. 5th. I know there were some before that they have been erased by my cell. Most of the time when I pick up there is no one on the line. Last week I asked the lady who answered to not call me again. She said she would. The next day I got another call from them & told them to put me on the do not call list. The lady said it would take 30 days! I said screw that take me off now! She said she would.. I got another call, literally, 20 MINUTES LATER! I just received another call & told her to listen to me & she said "I cannot listen to you" Are you serious?! They all say they are from cheaptrips.com & this site does not exist!
- Caller: Cheaptrips.com {doesn't exist}
- FrancineThis number (888) 248-1402 keeps calling and does not leave a message.
- AmandaB| 1 replyGot a call from person who ID'd self as from Cheap Trips Travel at 888-248-1402 (I always ask for a return call number). See details below. The bottom line is, I looked up Cheap Trips online (no longer at cheaptrips.com, now at cheap-trips.org), found their address of business, New Jersey, and looked them up on the Better Business Bureau website.
New Jersey Better Business Bureau gives Cheap Trips an "F". So there's your answer.
Details:
I called Cheap Trips of New Jersey (cheap-trips.org) at 800-383-6814. They said that this promotion is theirs.
Wow, whatta deal (NOT). The person who called me said that for $139 they will give me FOUR round trip tickets to ANYWHERE that ANY major airline goes, including eight days and seven nights accommodations at some choice of resorts and/or condos. Oh yeah, the tickets will be good for TEN YEARS and they are fully transferable with no blackout dates. Whoo-hoo!
Of course I can't see the details until I give them $139. But I do have 30 days to cancel. (Red Flag! Red Flag! Run Away! *OF COURSE* they're not going to send back your $139 or $59 or whatever.)
When I called Cheap Trips, this is the same thing they told me. So -- no go! Don't do it!
More details: you can't use the tickets until you purchase a vacation package. No details on these are available until you've purchased the package.
By the way, the caller gave me cheaptrips.com as their website -- which is simply a "parked" website, i.e., not currently registered. So that, too, is not good.
Hope springs eternal. But a "deal" which is rivals the best winnings on a game show (and much less work!), where you don't get to see the details until after you pay, from a company that cannot easily be found and the sales people don't have the website name right. Not only that but an F rating from the BBB, too!? Not so much.
Let's just close the wallet, hang up the phone and say, "Bye-bye!"- Caller: Cheap Trips Travel
- guy_in_vaThank goodness Comcast, which I use for my phone service, has a call screening feature. After a couple of days of five calls a day from these guys, which I never answer anyhow, since I have caller id, I blocked their number :-)
- Caller: Don't know, I didn't pick up :-)
- Tomthis # calls all the time.

- Eric SmileyCheaptrips is a fraudulent company. PLEASE do your part by reporting them to the FCC. If they get enough complaints, they'll get fined.

- Eric replies to Mister HypnosisWholesale Carrier Services owns their long distance, but they're simply a customer and can't really do anything about their activities. They said they'd contact Cheaptrips and tell them to stop harassing us, but I doubt that will have any effect... Best bet at this point is to keep pressure on the FCC until they fine them BIGtime.
