No phone call but a letter saying I won either a car [forign] or a trip and to call 1-888-261-2595 I called just to confirm it was a gimick and it was, as I found out as I questioned them on it. Beware of free things, it will usually cost you!

Notification from Awards Verification Center that we are guaranteed winners of one of 4 prizes: 1)new Mercedes, BMW, Porsche or $40,000 cash; 2)$1500 shopping spree; 3)$806 exotic island adventure; or 4)$500 cash. They say they have been unable to reach us and are also holding a $795 trip of our choice - a cruise or trip for 2 to Las Vegas or Orlando. This is SO outrageous that it's laughable. Card is signed by "Awards Director" Susan Murray, who instructs us to call one of her assistants, Sandra or Kim, at 1-888-261-2595.  You have to call within 72 hours to "arrange for your visit to claim your prizes."  Visit where, for what purpose? Return address is 6321 Blvd. 26, Suite 450, North Richland Hills TX 76180. The nearby Dallas BBB reports 204 complaints processed in the past 3 years against them under the name of SILVERLEAF RESORTS INC, of which Thomas C. Franks is listed as president.

I received a blue postcard in the mail.  I called the number listed on the post card  888-261-2595, and the representatives refused to remove me from their mailing list without first providing all of my information.  I had to go through 5 "managers" before one finally agreed to remove me after I politely informed them if they did not remove me I would be contacting the BBB and USPS to report a fraud.

They also refused to state where they received their mailing lists from other than "Maybe you filled out a drawing."  However, I do not enter sweepstakes nor does any of my friends or family.   The first rep I spoke to just advised me to throw away the mail if I didn't want it.  Nice..

And I keep getting emails I cannot stop ! ... For financial aid from differ email addresses...

I recieved  the blue post card on today with the same official prizewinner offers however, the number given for the return call was 18887686150. I promptly placed it in file 13

got the same post card ! they sent it three times,I Have not called the number yet and do not plane on it now . I figured it was to good to be true! NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS USUALY FREE!:) I threw the first two postcards away, but irecieved a third one yesterday saying final attempt , its saying exactly what everybodyelse is saying it says, and the number on this postcard is 1 800 309 8595 Avc claim center 6321 bLVD. 26, Suite 450 North Richland Hills,Tx 76180 !

Same postcard, wrong addressee. The name they sent it to was Charene Longview (Longview is the name of the city).  All the other address info was correct, just not the recipient.

Oh, and the amount of cash listed with the cars is $49,000 on this one.

Got one today called them back now they want me to go Galveston, TX hope they don't try nothing too stupid me and boyz might have to get crunk!

PS after I read these blogs I called back to see what they say and the man answered said they are a multi-million dollar company, of course they are going to have some complaints! I will get back to you guys to tell you the rest of the story after May 19, 2010.

I just got a letter saying i won one of the five prizes listed.,but after reading everyone's reports that it is nothing but a scam...FORGET IT, I AM NOT GOING GUYS !!!! Thank you all for the reports, i've read them and i am fully convinced that i would be wasting my time on going all the way out there for nothing !!!

Thanks everyone for posting on phone #8882612595 because I got the same post card and letter so now I know it is a SCAM.

I received the Boarding Voucher contact Number 1888-768-6150, and a ticket to Las Vegas/Orlando Fl. I knew it was fake from the time I received it.

I got it too. Called and told them I don't have a way to get to Galveston to pick up my prize. Called a friend who said it was a scam. Called the claim center back and told them they'd have to pick me up in Houston. They said I'd have to find my own way. I never could reach anyone named Susan Murray, Sandra, Kim or Jessica Wilkins which is the supposed name of the 1st lady I talked to with my first call.

Scam - scam - scam.

Who in their right mind would send a post card with all the information on it (so everyone could read it) hmmm. I wonder why no one stole my blue card?
