This company has called repeatedly over the last 8 days on my cell phone. They do not state any real business. they don't care if they have the right person or not, they just sound shifty. All they state is "this is about business"
They have left some claim number

received a call from this number -- for my ex-husband who would have never given out my number -- said they needed to contact him "immediately" and left a file number -- said they were with resource advantage

They called and were very shady about " business" it was very important to talk to me at once. I was not there at the time so my daughter picked up and took the call: they were very rude and demanding towards my daughter, asked too many questions for supposedly being a "business representative". She claimed her name was "Tara" and was calling from the office of First Source asking about a file number. NUMBER 888-274-6488.

This number also called my home asking for my father. He does not live with me and would not give my number out as his. My baby-sitter answered and they said it was important and gave a file number as well.

My sitter told them he did not live there and they asked if she talks to him ever!! They also said they were from First Source.

these people have been calling me for two days in a row now.
all i can think of is i filled out some form on Dell.com 3 days ago.
either that or some Titan auto insurance i had cancelled through Victoria Ins Co.
i had a hard time getting rid of those people bothering me eventhough it's my own choice to go to a different company.

My father-in-law and my dad both received these calls stating that it was "extremely importantant personal business matter" and that I must call today to discuss it.  When I called them it was indeed a collection agency looking to reach me through my family.  They call friends and family and employers as well as older numbers to try to track people down.  Once I told them I am filing bankrupcy they close my file and issued a "cease and decist."

a  message was left with my roomate with a reference number but the gentlemen would not give out info

I missed the call on my cell around 9, wanted me to call back by ten (what business goes by these hours) .. message says that there is a very important personal business matter placed on callers desk this morning that it is very important we discuss right away, blah blah reference number .. I do have a past due capital one account, but it was charged off, and I'm wondering whether or not this is a collection agenecy?

Checked into this a bit further .. and the office they claim to be does not have an 888 phone # .. Am going to call their office monday to confirm that this is legit.

I have repeatedly told them that who-ever they are looking for is unknown to me
and to stop calling. There must be some kind of learning disability in their call center. They state that it is imporant for Mary to call before 10 p.m. They leave a file number as well

Same old crap, business for some person and an reference number with a person to call.

I recieved a message on my work number (city government) asking for someone I never heard of.  I call back to inform them of a wrong number. When they confirmed the number they called they did not include the area code.  Wonder if they dial the same 7 digits and insert ramdon area codes.

They called with a message for my ex, from whom I've been divorced for 15 years. They wanted his number but I don't have it. Weird.

They called my house phone from a private number looking for my father who is the CEO of a brokerage firm. I said he wasn't home and they asked for my stepmother, by name, and I said she also wasn't home. They asked me for her cell number and then I asked what it was regarding. The lady, Sara White, explained that she was with First Source and that she tried calling my father, but he was in a meeting. I told her to call back later and hung up. A day later, at work, I get a call on my cell phone from a private number and I let it go to voicemail. The voicemail was from the same woman, asking for my father. She said basically all the same stuff and that she needed to speak with him immediately, leaving a reference number. My cell phone is under my mothers name, who has been divorced from my father for 15 years and has gotten remarried. There is no connection to my father from my cell number, but she asked specifically for him. This kind of freaked me out.

Had the same occurrence

They called asking me about my roommate and etc. Filed a complaint with FTC and i ENCOURAGE AND SUGGEST THAT YOU DO IT TOO!!!

"Melanie" called my house looking for my best friend saying she had my number from caller id when my friend had called her from my house. Not so according to my friend,  I wonder where she got my number.  She called from 716 564 4905.  She left the 888  number and a case # said she was from 1st source and to give my friend the message. She was very cordial.  My friend was very upset

I keep getting repeated phone calls from this number at work. They call at least twice a day! I thought it was illegal for bill collectors or collection agencies to call you and harass you at work!? I am not sure who these people are but they best not cause me to lose my job!!

I have heard from them several times asking for my daughter who hasn't lived with me for 4 years now.  I told them as much and they said it was CRUCIAL that they get in contact with her immediately and gave me a reference number.  They have been calling on a daily basis leaving messages even after I gave them this information.  I will contact the FTC as the other person did and hopefully that will put an end to this harrassment.
