They are a scam illegal collection agency using illegal tactics to collect debts.  Do not give them any information, listen to what they say. Take notes.  Record it if possible.  Call a FDCPA attorney to get a case going against them.  I have settled for thousands against these types of companies.  You can too.

these people are calling my job, leaving messages with my supervisor and other people saying they are transferring to my county courthouse.  I spoke with the Attorney General and they told me it was illegal.  If I had the address I could submit it to file a complaint.  How did you settle against them?????

What this company is doing is trying to collect "zombie debt" they've bought for pennies on the dollar. They buy the debt, organize a high pressure and usually unlawful campaign to try and get people to pay. The first thing you need to know is that typically this is debt that the statute of limitations has run out on, meaning though you still legally owe it, you can't be sued for it at least.

The company will try to get you to make some kind of agreement or statement they can use to resurrect the debt and reset the clock on it. They will also threaten you with criminal charges which is unlawful, they will threaten to sue you which is ony legal if they do it once and then sue you instead of calling repeatedly with threats to sue you. If they call, tell them you deny owing the debt and will only deal with in writing, if they call again, file a complaint with your attorney general.

The bad news is, these clowns operate like telemarketers and they're always owned by lawyers who know every trick in the book to avoid prosecution.

Two men called my work today from the above number looking for Michael Cowart. I explained this was my work but that Michael was my son and could I help them.  The first guy said he had a legal complaint against my son and his company.  I stated I knew nothing about what ever he was talking about and would try to relay a message asap.  The man said that I needed to hold a minute while he checked something and then second man got on.
