calls several times a day, every day.  No message, and I don't pick up.

I rec'd a call from this number. They asked for someone I have never heard of. I said I wasn't the person. A gentleman acted as if I was lying. So I hung up. The very next day, I rec'd another call from this number. It went to my voice mail. A North Group rep left a msg for this same person. I called them back to explained to them that they have the wrong number. They insisted that the person they are looking for called them from my cell phone because they have the number on file. The gentleman was rude and disrespectful and then he hung up on me. So you know I called back to tell him how rude he was. He began shouting and yelling and of course I did too. Eventually, I hung up. This company is so unprofessional. They will definitely hear from me again.

This is a collection agency.  Probably the rudest I have encountered. When I called back they didn't know who I was or who called me.

Group called Northland. Keep calling someone, not me. Call and they will remove your number from list.

I havent any idea who they are they call never leave a message and call several times a day every day. Just out of the blue they call my cell phone. I answered one time and got an automated machine that asked me to please hold.. Seriously do not call my cell phone and ask me to hold!

This number continues to call even after they are told, nicely, that this is a business and to remove the number. They would not say what their business does or is and who they are trying to call. Northland Group seems to be completely unprofessional and unable to get to whome they are looking for without conflict.

Calls and hangs up!!!!

After it called and hung up on me, I called this number back. The guy answered saying, "Northland Group". (Their website says they are a collection agency.) I asked why they hung up. He really didn't explain but said they were looking for someone. I said that they had the wrong number and hung up on him. Call their toll free number back!!!!!!!

This is a collection agency that buys up old debt, much of it past the statute of limitations, and hopes that the people they call are more stupid than they are.  It's fun to play with their heads: act upset and soon pretend to become hysterical, keep them on the phone forever and ever, then when they are at the end of their patience, laugh, tell them that they have the wrong number (since they usually do), tell them what bottom-feeding sociopaths they are, and hang up.

If you tell them on the first sentence that you are recording the call (and do record it) they will go nuts.  Since you have told them in advance that you are recording the call (very important to do that by law), you will then be able to very easily sue them.

No message was left but it showed up on my Caller ID as Unavailable.  I keep getting annoying collection calls from someone that has given my number and she must owe everybody on the face of the earth.  I don't pick up calls from calls I do not recognize.

If you tell the caller, "Can you please remove my phone number from your call list?"  by law they have to.  They record their own calls and are regulated (supposedly).

I keep receiving calls from this #.  When I play the call back half the message is cut off so I don't know who to call back anyhow.

Record on your answering machine the following message:

"The number you have reached has employed an automated Privacy Director call screener. You are hereby required to fully identify yourself, including your name and telephone number, before your call can be put forward. We apologize for this inconvenience, but thank you in advance for your cooperation."

It's important that you employ a highly authoratative tone to your voice when recording the message. Nine times out of ten, you'll hear a dial tone after the message ends.

i want them to stop calling me

I keep receiving calls from these idiots.  In the past I have had several places call about a person who has the same name as my husband.  I ask them the birthdate of the person they are calling for and it is always this other persons, usually after they argue with me.  They seem to get really nasty after you start asking them questions.  Do they have nothing better to do than to bother people who do pay their bills.  There has got to be a way to stop this.  Here is their fax # 1-952-831-7356 just in case anyone wants to fax them a nice little letter.

I don't know who they are and I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST and it is suppose to stop these people from calling. I do not owe anything that warrants a collection agency to call me. Point is: I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST and how are they getting through and is this a scam? Just beware that it could be a scam.

Don't know who they are. Answered phone said hello 5 times and nobody responded. Hung up after that, they could at least answer you. I don't think these places should be allowed to bother a person. We are on the do not call list. Will block the number if call back.
