annoying calls from this number even on Sundays and late at night

Called here Sunday @ 5:30--American Heart Assn Good Neighbor program.  I discovered the secret of getting rid of them.  I answered, there was the "automated pause," and I said "Hey, you called, a##hole, so what's up?"  He clicked on--"Pardon me, I was looking for Mrs. _______, but I'll discontinue now due to inappropriate language."  

SO YOU HAVE TO SWEAR AT THEM AND THEY'LL GO AWAY.  I CAN DO THAT.

THEY GET GOV'T MONEY, SO THEY'LL GET NO MORE OF OURS.

Why are these people allowed to call people at all hours 7 days a week even when we are on the no call list both national and state.
I didn't answer the call but they are persistent in calling again and again.  I don't want to have to get into a conversation with these people, that is why we are on the no call lists.

If indeed they are from the AM Heart asso, they should not be doing this to us. Too much stress already we don't need them to make our lives more stressful. And I thought they are concerned about our health. So what is this, all for money (lobby?

From other postings, it appears to be the American Heart Association making these annoying calls.  They are doing themselves no favors, especially since they never leave a message.

I get called every day, and when the machine picks up, they hang up.  I can block numbers, and I have to block a new number every day with these jerks.  When I run a search on the new number, it always goes back to the American Heart Association.

Been getting these hang-ups for a while now. If it is the American Heart Assn. (and I don't think they get government $$), they aren't increasing their chances of receiving donations by constantly calling and never identifying themselves. Funny. And here I was just in a walk-a-thon for the AHA. Raised $ for them, and gave them some of my own.  They probably just want to call and REALLY thank me for helping. HAH!!

This could be a scam also? What proof do they have that they are really from the American Heart Association?

Very annoying, call several times a day starting at about 8:30am.  I can't believe a legitimate fundraising company would operate in such a manner.  I can only surmise it is a scam...and of course I am on the DO NOT CALL list!

This number, 888-355-7209 IS the Heart Association. I phoned the number and told them they were violating the law by calling me when I am on the do not call list. I was politely informed that the do not call list does NOT apply to charities and non profit organizations. They did say they would remove my number anyway. Nice of them. I wonder WHAT sense of fairness lets a charity ANNOY people JUST because they are a charity? Makes no sense. Like having a license to do bad.

While these calls are annoying, they ARE allowed by law to still call.  And wouldn't you know it, the politicians have conveniently exempted themselves of the law, as well as telephone surveyors.  Here is a link that tells you more detailed information.

Irritating and constant calls.  Never leave a message and hung up when I picked up.

Toll free called at 8:56 pm. Even charity and collections are suppose to stop calling after 8pm aren't they??

I simply called the number back and asked to be removed from the list. They seemed ok with it and said that the numeber would be removed at once.

These people are nothing but pests.  They call and call and call night and day.  I have now blocked this  number on my Panasonic phone, and I don't intend to have them intruding in my home again.
