Is this a scam

Has to be. I received a call today from someone I could barely understand claiming to be the IRS. The IRS will not call, they will send information by mail. When I tried to get his name he told me the local sheriff would be coming to arrest me and then hung up.

I got the same call today and they told me the same thing I got freaked out at first bc I don't owe money to no one much less IRS. WHERE CAN WE REPORT IT??

Received a call the other day claiming to be the IRS.  I know they don't call, they send notices.
Also called again today and hung up when I answered.

Received a call stating I owe the IRS for back taxes from 08 to 12 3,983.I just got back to the US in 12.I was like, WHAT??. I stated, how? n why? told me to go to TMoblie n send the money or to a address in Brooklyn TMoblie.That's when I know they we're pulling a scam n hung up. people need to let TMoblie know to not send large sums of money n to state the reason why so people who work hard for they they're $$$ r not scammed. especially older people who don't any better. Sounds like a big operation according to the back round just by listening.

I received a call from Raymond Scott claiming to be from the IRS said his badge number is BS9173 that I owed taxes from 2008-2013 3,0989.00. He stated they have a lawsuit against me and going to take me to jail. I told him he was full of [***] and he said I love you too then hung up..English was very poor ..Wow these people are really thirsy.

Today I received three calls from 888-369-7206.  I missed all three calls so It called them back at least 6 times because he kept hanging up on me when I told him I couldn't hear well over the phone and asked him to repeat what he said   .  Again as in the reports above this man could hardly speak English and told me that he wanted $5,000 tonight and he identified him self as with the IRS.  I told him he was full of SXXT and never to call again.  I am a senior citizen and thank God I was aware enough to know it was a scam.

Received a call today at my work from Mr. K  Smith, saying he was with IRS and wanted to know if I knew that I owed IRS money. I asked for his number, which he gave me (888) 369-7206, I told him that I would call back and check to see if this was really the IRS. I called and he answered saying "Internal Revenue Service". Like the rest of you, I know that the IRS only contacts you by mail. I am just wondering how he got my work number?

I got a call from this number saying they was the IRS and I could barely understand them.  They called me by my name.  Said I was being sued by the IRS and I go why and the guy hung up.  So I called back and if it was a legit business they would have answered the phone Internal Revenue Service.  But they answer it Hello.  I go who is this and the guy goes IRS.  I said one of your representatives called me and said I was being sued,  I go they can't sue me I live on Social Security Disability.  He goes well we will remove you from our list.  Then he hung up.
