- AnnoyedI called them and a very friendly person answered. I asked her if she had ever googled the phone number. Of course she had not and she asked why.
PEOPLE HATE YOU! YOU'RE ANNOYING PEOPLE WITH A NOBLE CAUSE! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE A MESSAGE?
She was very pleasant and agreed to put my number on their do not call list.- Caller: American Heart Association
- SandraLots of calls from this number. Very annoying. Called the Heart Association and asked them to stop. It's started again.
- bob smiththis call will be turned over to the local FBI office . enough isenough ASAP
- bob smithyou have been turned over to the local office of theFBI
- cocodrillethis is *not* the american heart association.
whoever is making these calls are impostors.
it's a spoofed nbr from some collection agency
or so called law office.
it is now it seems a widely used practice.
they simply want to ascertain that somebody is home
or that the info they have about you is correct.
please think about it: would a legit organization use
such harassment tactics as calling you every day,
several times a day, never leaving a message and when
you call back you get no one.
not a very smart way to generate good will, hence
spoofing / scamming are the most likely explanations.
btw the same goes for other phantom allegedly charitable
organizations such as the american cancer society.- Caller: 800 service

- Cat replies to MikeI asked why they didn't just pay the woman annoying me with the calls to stuff envelopes, she hung up on me.
- OEQClaims to be the American Heart Association. At least the number's not being outright spoofed--that is, someone DOES answer the number when you call back--but it doesn't make it less annoying. These professional "fundraisers" aren't helping the AHA's reputation with the public when they make these kind of robodialed calls.

- Smokey Chipotle replies to Fixed itGood information. They have at least promised to stop calling. Will update if they relapse.
- SThey left a message stating that if I wouldn't answer or call back they had the right to send somebody looking for the where abouts of whomever they are trying to get a hold of. I say, send them. They will be in for a rude awakening.
