charge by phone bill $29.99 without my permission
the phone 1-888-381-5903 was on by phone bill.

The call sounded very legitimate and claimed that our local phone company had switched long distance providers and was with them now. And that no changes were being made to our account but they just need to call and verify the number and let us know about the switch. They also claimed that the phone company offered our new store a discounted phone line service because we had so many lines through them and that they hadn't been giving us the prorated price and that they were going to discount all of our lines to $29 instead of $41. And give us an additional $100 discount on our phone bill for the hassle they caused us. They also claimed there was usually a $5 charge for verification services but that they were waiving that fee because it was internal changes instead of customer changes.
We were able to call the phone company and put a block on our phone bill before any charges were charged to our bill. The company is a scam. We don't know what would have happened but thankfully we stopped anything before it did. Do not agree to anything this company says its a scam!

I just received a phone call claiming to be (stated multiple times) they work for AT&T ID number ATT 261 and call back number was 1-888-381-5903 and that ATT long distance service would be dropped if I did not switch, but the switch would also save us money. The switch was due to the merger between ATT and Unitel.

I am calling AT&T to have them ensure we are not switched.
