- Caller: did not identify
- EdThese are people trying to pretend they are Wachovia. DO NOT GIVE THEM information. It's a scam!
- BruceDaily "important call for "Charles." This is not a telemarketing etc. call.
- TishaThis is a HUGE SCAM!!!!! I have gotten tons of calls from this number and I usually just ignore it. But today I answered and the person asked for my Wachovia account number. When I refused to give it and asked "Are you trying to steal my information, I was hung up on. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!!!!!!!
- GraceI got a call from them...I never called them back because the message didn't indicate who they were and I could not find their number on the web until today. Thanks for posting this. A HUGE help. Glad I didn't call. I have had multiple issues with people gaining access to my Wachovia account (and I haven't given anyone any info)...Guess that says alot about Wachovia...anyway, I ended up switching banks. Thanks again. I will be bookmarking your website under my favorites in case I get a new number I need to check out.
- Caller: Unavailable
- DCPatentLawyerI got a call from them.. a lady said I need your address and name to access your WACHOVIA account. I said, "Why do you need to access my account" multiple times.. Each time she said "I need to access your account" without giving me a proper explanation. I said "I dont know who you are. You called me. If you don't tell me why you need to access my account I won't give you my information." She said, "OK Sir you can go to your local branch to get your message".
I actually did do some work in Wachovia this morning (adding an outside bank account). This may very well be a legitamite call, but the way they are going about it is STUPID. I don't think weary people would be willing to give their information out to anyone who APPEARS to be calling unsolicitedly. - barryidenity unknown
- zachI have been receiving calls from this number everyday at random hours for the last two weeks and haven't called it back because the message just said. "You have a very important call, this is not a telemarketing agency please call us back at 888-387-1476" i finally decided to look up the number and found this websaite. Thank you for the information, how did people stop this number from calling?
- SteveI am having problems with Wachovia and bank fees posted to my account/s from people or companies I don't even know. I requested they stop any ACH withdrawls from any account which by the way Citizens can and has done so I know they can but they tell me that I have to contact the company's that are attempting withdrawls. I learned my wife took one of these calls not knowing if maybe it was a "bill pay" company confirming info so she gave them, luckily, an account number I don't keep money in but Wachovia refuses to do anything about it except keep adding 35.00 every attempt and telling me if I don't pay it, they will report it to the Chex systems. Great web site. I'll also save it.
- Caller: "Toll Free Call"
- SteveAlso, if you listen to the message completely it gives you the option to choose number 2 I think if this "is not...your name...". I got this call yesterday and chose that option because they have been calling for over a month now. It doesn't stop them. I just got a call a few minutes ago just before me last posting a few minutes ago.
- They Have Hassled Me for 6 Months NOWDay after day, hour after hour. It's Wachovia, and they are trying to steal our money. Those thieven [***]. They won't stop until this world blows up. Seriously, man they're after us. We need to get together and destroy the mother ship.

Codeword: Rattlepuss - Ida SlapyouAre you people that stupid? Wachovia does not STEAL money nor any other random BS exuse you all can think of, Wachovia is a very well and professional bank and if you people would keep up with your accounts and not overdraw it every day and keep up with it you wouldn't owe any money or have fee's on your account. As far as "Bulbous" (cute name BTW) this note goes out to you mainly, the only "thieven [***]" in this situation is you, when you over draw your account and the bank pays for your items because you can't keep enough money in there and spend more than what you have. So either shut of up go somewhere else and waste someone elses time because all banks are the same, its just people like you that will never change.
- juiceEvery morning my phone rings at exactly 8:00 am. It's like clockwork. I don't even need an alarm anymore thanks to this caller. If it is Wachovia, I am going to be pretty pissed off, considering the fact that we just opened a Wachovia account not more than a month ago and haven't even used it - mainly because we haven't gotten a debit card yet and can't even get online access yet. So, if it is because it's supposedly overdrawn - I'm going to be even more pissed.

- BusterWas my bank calling.. Wachovia
Didn't have to give them any info they had it all.
I had an overdraft- Caller: Wachovia
- MikeyOkay. ida slapyou this is for you. Go ahead and view the Class action suit against wachovia for STEALING MONEY on interest bearing accounts. Not paying interest to the account holders and wacking them with fees. It's a big deal, and wachovia is under review. So shut up and leave your semantics out of it. Look at you sticking up for the big bank. You work for them? Please say yes so we can say a Wachovia employee is committing libel by accusing its customers of "stealing" right here on an open forum.
- angela minfordis it fraud?
- Caller: none
- KarenI can tell u that i live in NJ, i work for this dept of wachovia. its the early overdraft (deposit recovery). they just started a few months ago. its not a scam, its not fraud. its a dept of wachovia that calls customers to help with their balance. we are only provided a certain amount of information about the customers account for their privacy. we have to verify "just the last four digits" of your ss# so that were not giving ur banking information to just anyone. The reason some representatives from corporate wachovia didnt know of the number is because we have a company id number that they would know. i hope that answers a lot of peoples questions.
- JasonI got a call about 5 minutes ago from this number on my Cell Phone. What's funny is this number isn't even linked to my Wachovia account. I know for a fact that I'm not overdrawn either.
- TinaI was called by this number yesterday and I answered it and the guy on the line said he was from Wachovia and needed to talk to me about my account and asked me to verify the last four numbers of my social, as well as my phone number and address. I had just left the bank not even 2 hours before recieving this call, so I KNEW my account was NOT in the negative, and I KNEW my card was working ok because I had just used it. I told told him that I was just in the bank and that my account was fine and if they needed to talk to me, they would have done it then, and asked him what it was about and he just said it was about my account. I hung up on him and then called the actual Wachovia and they said they weren't trying to get ahold of me and everything is fine and it was a good thing I didn't give the guy any information. So if they call asking for something and you aren't sure, hang up and call the number that YOU know to be real, that way you know who you are talking to.
