- Jenny| 4 repliesGot a phone call from pri-vate and he says he is from the "county processors office" trying to serve a summons. He doesn't say anything about the county he is calling from and when I look up county processors office in google, it appears no counties have offices with the name Processors Office. He says if we want to know more about it we can call the issuing agent at 888-393-6044. The guy at this number wasn't there but the name was Anthony Sotty from "NFC". In google I can only find NFC associated with football. Anyone know where this call is coming from and what they want?
- jph replies to Jennyhad same kind of message, left on my home phone, no idea what is about, left no details
- cb replies to JennyI received the same type of call, when I returned this call they said it was for a Capital One Credit card account that had been written off as a bad debt. NFC is a collection agency for Capital One. The guy I talked to was Eric Stone from their "legal" department.

- JoeSame story!!!!!!!! How can we report these people?
- Sweet PeaIt seems eveyone can complain about the man (Mike) calling my company, but nothing seems to get done. Something needs to be done with people like Mike to call a professional company and harass me. The company is Resource Atlatic Management. I was ready for him. The police were to be here when he arrived and I was going to file a complaint. He said he would be here in a hour. No show, the jerk. Just let him show up.

- JessicaMy husband received a phone call today from 88-363-6044 stating that they were looking for me. He gave them my phone number and they told him that they could not call me directly that I would have to call them. I spoke with a Rolando Garcia who claims to be the man in charge of the legal department. Boy was he RUDE and NASTY. He claims that they have been trying to serve me a summons for court for the last year and that I should have received it by now. I know nothing about these people and have never heard of them in my life. I have lived in the same house for 3 years and have never been contacted. They state that I owe an original debt of $1983.44 to a credit card company from back in 2005. The guy told me I have two options. 1 is to hire an attorney to fight paying $4181.00 or 2 is to try for a dismissal fee as I have not signed any paperwork?? What kind of paperwork I asked and he was stumped as to what I was asking. Then he says that my social security number does not match what he has, however, he read it to me and I confirmed that it was correct, so how does my social not match? Then he says that my husband is liable for the debt that FL is a community state property...LOL no it sure isn't. This debt occurred in 2005 and I didn't get married until 2009. I wasn't even with my husband when it happened. If you can tell me who to report this company to it would be greatly appreciated as I will not pay them one penny when they can't even get their information right.

- Jessica replies to JennyJenny,
I called the county court house today regarding a case number that ARM gave to me. There is no record of this case and nothing comes up under my name at all. I spoke with an attorney over the phone about this and he said to keep records of any information and phone calls that you receive from them, especially if they are harassing you. They have to serve you and I am in the state of Florida which means that I have to be served by the sheriffs department. Nothing comes up under my name at all, so I am thinking that this is a HUGE scam. - SSforWASsame drill. Lying about summons & legal actions against my 86 year old nursing home medicaid dependent father who is not reachable at my number. Dont understand how they get away with this.
- Tina replies to JennyThis is a collection agency They called me looking for my husbands ex Wife and her ex to be he told my husband that he was a state Marshel and was coming to our house to arrest his ex's former husband and serve papers to his ex wife. He said i am not married to her and none of these people live here. Then the guy on the other end said was XXXXXXXXX his ex wifes phone number my husband said i don't know try it. I have called the Fed Trade commission and put in a complaint. When I talk to a guy at that number he said we don't make calles from this number I said i know your afilliate office does and I am making a complaint with the fed trade com he said in a snotty voice yeah good luck with that. These people are smucks they know what they can get away with because no one is doing anything about them. This is against the law. TO impersonate a Officer of law enforcement.
- lissMy mother got a call on her answering machine looking for me using my maiden name saying he was from the county processors offfice which is CRAP.. said they had a legal summons on me and had been trying to serve me. Gave the name mike jones and888 number of 888 862 8078.. The fair trade act says they cannot deceive who they are contacting and must give a correct name and place of where they are calling from... Last message left months ago was from a Steve saying he was a lawyer.. and i needed to callt his number asap... WHICH is crap... said he had been trying to serve me..HE cant serve me... When I called him on his BLUFF and mentioned my father was a lawyer and our conversation was being recorded he hung up on me...

- DeeSeveral long distant family members, whom I have never lived with or listed as references...have called me with messages from this company. I too have spoke to someone from this company and they claim I owe a debt...which I clearly do not. When they contacted these family members...supposedly they had a summons for me to appear in a FLORIDA court and couldn't contact me, said I had to contact them....Yeah right! LOL!!! Like I would call them out of the blue asking them if I owed them any money.
These people should be found and jailed for impersonating court officials and for trying to coerce people to pay debts that either don't exist or have been written off.
These lowlife scums won't get a dime from me.- Caller: NFC
- lenny bHi everyone got the same call there is no county processor the call is from a debt collector, someone who buys debt from an org. such as capital one chase bank etc . They buy the debt at a certain price then harass and try to scare you into paying the full debt, this is how these hardly working people make their money. This guy said his name was mike jones, the # for the Co was 888-819-1486. Has any one ever had any problems with Chase Bank? I opened an acct there because of the 200 dollar incentive, only to find out a day after they put that money into my acct they took that money and my money out, without any notice leaving me without a dime to my name. Thay told me I owed Wash. Mutual a past amt. I showed them proof of a payoff from over 2yrs ago and still now over three months later, four faxes of the payoff letter numerous trips, to the branch I opened the Acct at relentless phone calls & arguments and still cannot get my money back. Any advice? Any help for me out there? Im so tired of getting beat up by these big companies
- Caller: would not give me the Co.
- jd-fl lawyerUse an answering machine. Dont answer private numbers unless they leave a specific message. Process servers will not call you to make sure you are home. Process servers use the element of surprise...otherwise nobody would accept process. If you do answer the phone, DONT GIVE THEM YOUR NAME. If you are the person they are looking for, they just got confirmation that this is a good number to hound you at. Ask them the county where the lawsuit was filed. If they make a mistake and answer you, you can look it up online. As soon as a case is filed, most counties post it online because it is easier for you to look it up than it is for them to staff the phone lines for those questions. If it is not online, you know that they are blowing smoke.
There is no law that says you have to give them any information. It is their job to find you and serve you. You dont have to make it easy for them.- Caller: National Alliance & Associates-phony name

- katpac replies to SANDRA D BARGASAfter reading these posts I'm highly concerned about this companies tactics. First of all they cannot harrass you... send a letter to cease and desist. Next if you're being sued (summons) they would have to serve you and show proof.... Its companies like this that hope you dont know what your rights are. The Fair Debt Collections Act protects you from these scandalous idiots.
Again, you have to be "served in person" to get a summons and very few companies even go that far. These guys are good. They are hoping that they can scare you into paying on a debt that half the time probably isnt even valid. There are statutes of limitations on debts unless you get suckered into paying on them. Again, get the address or fax number when they call and then laugh at them, hang up the phone and send them the letter. You wont hear from them again! - bryanjust got this call for about the third time in a week and i cant tell you how many times over the entire summer.. this time it was a woman (cant remember her name) saying the same old county processors office line and they are sending an officer to serve me but lucky me she has placed a 24 hr hold on the serving.. i asked: your sending a police officer? and she dodged the question until the 4th time when she said yes.. so i repeated: your sending a police officer to my home to serve me? and she started going on with the phone number and case number.. i told her someone better damn well show up! in PA the sheriff office serves.. i have asked where in the county court house are you located (they hang up) it's just on and on and on to the point one would think that the government, state of california or someone would have shut this crap down by now! i have never called the 888-862-8078 number because why should i?? I WANT SERVED! i figure if served then we will all have a true physical address for them and not the mail box service places (mail box etc) that others have researched and found them to be......people are contacting the feds and nothing happens.. shocking

- littlewitchI received a call from "Michael Turner" a process server for Greene County court. He left a message and told me to call 877-816-0870, referencing a case #. I called my local court and they have no record of that process server, or court case number. I called the number back, and explained to "Steven" wht happened. He put me on hold for 5 minutes, and then I was (without warning) transferred to "Robert Blackwell". I told Robert what I was told, and that this Michael Turner had mis-represented himself, and that is illegal. I also told him Michael said there were "several companies" that were listed in the court documents. He said he would have no way of knowing this. I told him scare tactics were amazing, and he told me to have a good day and hung up on me. Nice company.
He did manage to tell me this was from a Payday loan from a groups called the "Cutter Group". Which is a group I never signed a consent for. They can take me to court - I never agreed to their terms, they just deposited money into my account, and never answered their phones when I woudl try to call them.- Caller: Prudential
