Got a snail mail yesterday that gives the appearance it comes from SunTrust (which is my mortgage company) but it says in tiny print at bottom they are not connected with your mortgage co. or any government agency. All that is on the notice is this phone number, no company name or address at all. This is a serious scam but looks legit. Wolf in sheep's clothing! I have been trying to get a loan modification from SunTrust (who is not being cooperative at all) and almost called this number thinking they had changed their mind (until I saw the fine print at the bottom and decided to search online first and found others had received same but with different mortgage companies mentioned). So glad I did and I am thankful for online places like this where you can find out what is really going on!
