Got a call just like that .. except it was for a cruise for 7 days and stay in an outside cabin to the Bahamas- Airfare to any of 3 cities would be included etc ... sounds like  a scam probably fishing for your personal info.  Same number to call back 888-408-1960 within 24 hours.  It said I entered into a drawing or a family member did.  This is DEF.  A SCAM

Got a call from this number yesterday - sounded identical to Mary's post above. Sounds way too good to be true, so that must mean it's a scam! The message indicated that I entered a contest at one of their "events" but I don't recall such a thing.

BF got the exact same call as Sammy and Mary below. (the lady on the message was very... "enthusiastic"? LOL  We got a good laugh at her exuberant message several times.)  Anyway, we don't recall entering any contest and will most-likely not call them back. Sounds like a scam to us as well.

I got a call from some 702 number.  Googled that and it turned out to be a number that is used to cover up the real number they are calling from.  Anyway, the message that was left told me to call the 888 number from this page, and it was the cheery-sounding lady telling me that I'd won a cruise, etc.

    Total scam.

Do they really think we are all IDIOTS? It is obviously a scam! I never enter contests and do not have a husband.

I thought the woman sounded not only bi-polar (overly excited) but drunk as well. She really slurred her words when she said she was calling on behalf of America West. In fact, most of you didn't even catch that part. She proceeded to say I won a flight to Miami, "Port Canaveral" ???, and Baltimore, then could leave from there for my cruise (in an outdoor cabin--does this mean we have to sleep on the deck?) going to the Carribean and I think she said St. Maartens.

Could also be a debt collector seeing if we call them back. There is one I've been avoiding, because they have no right to be coming after me.

If I were you, whenever you get these calls, DO NOT call back! If you do, hide your number by dialing #57 before the number. They want to verify someone is at your number.

I just got a message from an enthusiastic lady telling me I had won a contest that I had entered. I won a r/t airfare included 7 day cruise with an outside cabin.  No obligation just call 1-888-408-1960. What a scam.

I got the call yesterday from a blocked number that said the same thing - 7-Night/8-Day Cruise to Bahamas and St. Thomas, VI on Carnival with free airfare.  The same female voice from the voicemail message yesterday was on the recording I called back today.  She said me and my significant other (must be married or living together with proof and at least $60K in salary combined) will have to attend a "Travel Reception" to receive our package.  She mentioned two dates this week for this reception at Hampton Inn in Sterling VA (and said please do not call the Hampton Inn about this and bother them) and that a driver's license and credit card are required but that the credit card is for ID only - not charged.  I'm still wondering what this is really about!  Please comment here if you have attended the reception.  Thanks!

Folks be careful about these numbers you call back on.  Remember a few years ago when there was a scam where the number was legit but was forwarded to an overseas location where they charged your phone a fee.  I've heard of people receiving bills from their phone company for as much as $20,000.00.  So be careful about these call back scams.  I don't know if they're still out there, or if the phone companies are on to this, but BE CAREFUL.  Some of you must remember this as you didn't call back from your personal phone.  My advice is, if you have to call to satisfy your curiosity, then do it from a pay phone.

Just got the same message...  I have a Dallas number, but have not lived there in 10 years.  When the message from the overly enthusiastic woman said me and my spouse (which I'm not married) won a trip from DFW, I knew it was a scam.  Especially since I never signed up for anything.  Total Scam!
