- GAubinA call was received at approx. 10:37AM on 1-29-09 from someone at 888-475-6741, who said his name was Chris, and asked if this was Gerry. The person who answered the phone asked again who was calling, because the name was not recognized. This is Chris, he answered. (Without any other explanation). Chris was again asked "Who Is This" with an inquisitive intonation in their voice. The caller said "I've told you two times, This is Chris." A remark was made about no last name or company affiliation...??? There was not an immediate response, and after about 3 seconds, the phone was hung up.

- RosemaryCall from 888-475-6741 came to a corporation and transferred to a special extension for messages. A lady (Gloria) said the message was for a Michael Lillyquest and asked that he call back to 866-341-3469 and give Reference Number 26030187.
Happy that there is a site like this to read who may be calling. No one by the name requested works within our corporation!
Thanks for those who gave some information. How scary that this is a Collection Agency, and they don't even know what number, where or who they may be calling!!! In all fairness, the caller was very, very professional (unlike many others who call from Collection Agencies or Call Centers).- Caller: Unknown

- notthemI have received close to a dozen calls from this "company" - NCO Financial Services, a debt collection company for someone that is not a resident or contact of my phone number or me. Every time a message is left requesting me to call another number with the same report number (no name is mentioned) and that it is regarding debt collection. After leaving a few voicemails inquiring WHAT the calls were about since I had no idea what would be in collections, I finally reached someone about 2 weeks ago and indicated that there was no one here by this name. The rep actually indicated that they thought that since I have the same last name, I may know the person or a better contact number. I indicated that I did not have any contact info for this party and that I had the number for a decade and no one was here by that name in that whole decade. She said my number would be removed. I got another vm the same eve, called and talked to another rep, and was assured that the number would be removed. Calls stopped for about 2 weeks and then today I got yet another call about the same file number and guess what-the individual still doesn't live at this number and I still have no info for them. These unscrupulous people who just call anyone on a whim and harrass people need to be stopped. This is total crap! I'm reporting them to anywhere I can find to report them including the Do Not Call registry since there is no connection to my number for the person that they mistakenly seek here. I've also heard that these people are frauds trying to make money by claiming to help people with student loans or claiming that money is owed that is no longer owed. Know why I know??...because they called here before this a while ago too! SHUT THEM DOWN!!!!!

- JeffJust started getting calls from this this morning. Told me it was about a debt collection. They gave me the last four digits of a social security number that didn't match mine and the name was spelled differently. Supposedly have been taken off their call list after an apology. I thought it was not legal for collection agencies to call a work number anyway.

- sherryAnswered this call but there was no one there - just a dial tone. I think I've gotten many calls from this number before leaving a message about some debt that I don't know of - only debt I have is student loans and I have contacted them directly to make a settlement with no response. I don't answer toll free callers unless I have recently contacted a bank or a business .

You are wise to NOT talk to these folks if it is about student loans and make agreements, settle, or challenge their records directly with the Dept of Education.

- Sarah D| 1 replyThey call at all hours of the day nd night. I do believe that calling after 7 pm is against a federal law, unless Obama gave them that to. If they are calling any business it falls into harassment, which can loose the petson a job. Stupid of debt collector, because without a job the person will not be able to pay.
Maybe, just maybe, anyone who has a student loan and are unable to pay back due to no jobs available in you area, cost of living being hiter than your income, or what ever "wonderful" has happened in your life; maybe those people should put down the number of the very congressman, senator, or financial aid office that approved for those debt collector to harass you, your family, or friends.- Caller: unknown
- LauraThey called and asked for me by name and them proceeded to tell me that they were calling for someone named Bob (last name also) and asked if I knew him - which I didn't - they asked me again and I told them that I did not know anyone by that name and then they hung up...very strange...

- AnonamousThis number called my cell yesterday asking for my Fiance. Then asking where he worked now since he didn't work at the place they were saying. I told them I wasn't going to give any information to them. Then today they called my house phone with the same thing. Again told them I wasn't giving any information out. They hung up both times after I said that.

- me being annoyedThis number called 8/9/2013 at 3pm and a lady wanted the SSN of an employee I do not have. Very weird. Said she was with the Department of Education. I told her I had no employees and she reluctantly gave up.
She asked for my name, though, and proceeded to spell it wrong.- Caller: Department of Education
- So confused!I've received a phone call from them once a week for the last month, but when I answer no one is there. From what I've read, it's a debt agency, but I have never had a student loan and only one credit card that is completely paid off. No clue why a debt agency would be calling me and I'm even more confused as to why they call but don't say anything once I answer. I've tried not answering and they don't leave a message either.
