This number has called me twice this week asking for someother person.  The recording tells me to disconnect if I am not that party, but they keep calling any way.

Called looking for the people who had my phone number before me.  I get these calls all the time.  I was assigned this phone number 2 years ago, and get more calls from debt collectors looking for the previous owners, then I get for myself.  This was an automated service.  Hang up on them and call back the number afterward to get a live person.  Of course they will be rude and obnoxious, even if you are not the debtor.  I obtained the name and address and keep a log to report repeated violations to the FTC.

They left an automated call on my voicemail. "Person" who called was a Melissa from Credit Management and she was looking for (and I'm not making this up, I have it on voicemail) "Monster Leon". LMAO -- Definitely no one here by that name! In fact it's no where close to my name! LOL

These [***] keep calling my phone but never anyone on the other side. I dont get it. Just blank silence.

I HAVE HAD MY HOME PHONE NUMBER FOR ABOUT A YEAR OR SO AND THEY KEEP CALLING FOR SOMEONE I NEVER HEARD OF AND THE STUPID AUTOMATED SYSTEM DOESN'T SAY THE NAME CORRECTLY BUT I KNOW IT'S NOT ME. IT WAS VERY FRUSTRATING AS I WORK NIGHTS AND NEED MY REST.  I HAVE TO KEEP MY RINGER ON AS I HAVE CHILDREN IN SCHOOL AND YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT COULD HAPPEN OR ANY EMERGENCY.

I CALLED THEM TO LET THEM KNOW THEY PERSON THEY ARE TRYING TO REACH DOESN'T LIVE HER OR I DON'T KNOW THEM.  THE LADY THAT ANSWERED STATED SHE WOULD MARK IT AS THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER.

This was a call from Credit managment to collect a debit for Charter communications.

Same old idiotic thing. Gave me 3 seconds to hang up if I wasn;t the person whose name they said. Then when I didn;t they advised that I should bge alone because they were going to say someperosnal things. I then hung up. Plan to write the "contact" tab on their website to ask them to stop. i keep receiving calls from the number 888-483-3767. when i answer the phone there is no one talking but today when igot a call again from this number there was a lady recording that said hello this is and then i got cut off. this is very annoying and i wish they would stop calling me i don't know they got my number.

Just bought a new phone with a new number. Sure am glad I wasted my phone minutes on these spammers.

Stop the Calls for Bill Goodman!!  Nearly every day. Don't know him.

Someone keeps calling our cell phone and the caller ID shows this number.  No message is ever left.

Since this cell phone is used for emergency purposes we don't appreciate it.

It has been about a month now, we keep receiving  the calls from this number serveral times; morning, afternoon, and evening, weekdays and weekend. The authomatic machine asking for names (yes, several different names) that absolutely not living in our home.

We need good lawyers to sue this company for making these annoying calls.

Wow. I had been getting calls from this number for almost 8 months now and just thought of googling the number. Didn't think there were so many people that were receiving the same call.
I agree with Meli above me. I quit answering quite a while ago, but seems to not stop.

Hi, I wanted to ask you. You wrote above that you called back and a real person picked up. Did  they stop calling you since?

I got the same treatment, the 3 second thing and all that, however, the number the automated voice left was 1 800 483 etc.  I googled "Credit Management" as it described themselves plus 1 800 483 and found several sites on this very same stuff.  Like all of you here, and on the other sites, we all want them to stop.
I reported the number to ATT, they called...by then it was a non working number.
After talking with ATT I started a "Call Trace" which involves law enforcement, the case is open.
I would like to suggest anyone reading these messages to also comment on the other sites similar to this one, because according to ATT even collectors must stop after being told to stop, three times, or they are in violation of "...the law." which law ATT refers to I do not know.
Like many of you, these calls are more than a minor thing, like the man who works nights...I am about to go through back surgery.  And, this is not the only company calling.
I get another that say "This Message is for...." and no name, only silence, I pushed every button on the phone, star and pound too, trying to make contact.  
the Point is, I believe i have more than one credit collector calling perhaps 3 or 4, makes me wonder who is using my number.  
  At first I thought maybe it all was 'fat finger' transposed numbers, but from these sites I see I am not the only one.
 Anyone a lawer?  class action?

My 16 year old is getting at least 2 calls per day for another party.  She's had the number for a while and the calls have started a month or two ago.  Not sure if they are trying to reach someone who may have had the number before her or if they were given an incorrect number.  We have thought about getting her a new number, but at this point it would be more trouble to do that than to let this call go into voice mail and then delete it.  My son has had some issues too, but those were not as frequent as the ones coming on her line.  Just wish we could figure out a way to get them to stop.

I continue getting calls from 888-483-3767. the keep asking for a person i dont know and it has been going on for over a year. I call and always speak to someone who barely knows english and he or she will ask for my # then ask about the "name" they have assigned to my telephone number. I will tell them NO this isnt me I dont know this person and this isnt their number.
I tried ignoring the calls i tries hanging up on them and i have tried calling them multiple times. to no avail. awesome.
