This is NOT the NATIONAL RIFLEMAN ASSOCIATION!!!

This is a collection agency call NATIONAL RECOVERY ASSOCIATES or NRA.

They do NOT need to adhere to the NO CALL LIST as they are not solicitors rather an agency attempting to collect on debts. They are VERY aggressive and are not interested if they have the correct person or not.

When I informed them my telephone number was "new" and that the individual(s) they were searching for had long since changed to an unlisted number, this agency was adamant and refused to believe that I was not the person they were looking for...

I have attempted on several occasions to resolves this, but they continue to call nonetheless, even on Sundays (which should prove just how unscrupulous they are.)

Called once a day every day for the past five days.  Never leaves a message.

I've been able to block numbers (including this one) from my home phone.

BS called the number the anwsering machine says national rifle association

It clearly says on the recorded announcement, National Rifle Association... they don't say NRA.

These calls are not for the National Rifle Association as we are members and we have notified them of this scam. This company is the National Recovery Associates is using various toll free numbers and we are getting pretty sick and tired of these calls. They try to get money from you telling you you owe them. Even though the caller Id says unavailable it is this National recovery Assoc. We've been getting calls several times a day for the past few weeks and have reported this to the local Attorney Generals office.Do not answer their calls. We invested in caller ID so we don't answer when they call but it is a nuisance.

We don't answer but they are constant and annoying!

I have no debts. Calls all the time. Very anoying.

The person you are trying to reach no longer lives here  and did not leave a forwarding number last  we heard is that he moved out of state so please stop calling here

This IS the NRA - National Rifle Association.  We do not have debt collectors calling us.  They call from several different numbers.

This NRA is NOT the National Rifleman Association. It is National Recovery Associates SPOOFING the NRA phone numbers to make you think it is the NRA. If you call the number back, you will actually get the National Rifleman Association. (They use several different phone numbers.) These people call both those who owe debts and those who do not.
I just came across some new information. There is a video on You Tube to watch. The link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVzPUn9q5Zg. This is from attorneys who will try to help get them to stop calling you and also sue on your behalf. Their website is: http://www.stopdebtcollectorsharassment.com/. There is no cost to you since either they receive a percentage of the recovered fees or the caller has to pay attorney fees. I think in this case is sounds like the caller will have to pay the legal fees.

This seems to be legitimate and I hope it is. This will eliminate a lot of phone calls that should not be happening.

Mine said the National Rifle Association.  I called that number to make sure.  I also called the NRA number on the web and they do make calls asking people for donations or to sign up.  But....they will take my number off the list because I am an active member of it.

Get call from this number 2 or 3 times a day, daily and on weekends. Very Annoying. Don't even answer my phone ant more

Saturday - got their call on my caller Id.  (as usual - I didn't pickup).  I advise (others) NOT to answer the phone call if you don't recognize the phone number.  Better yet - if your phone has 'modular jacks' - unplug the phone.  That will confuse the 'H___' out of their robocaller machines!  Complaining does no good.
