Called several times while we were at work, never left a message.  I was home today and a girl identified herself as being from Eisenburg and Witman and Associates and were looking for information regarding my step daughter and left the above number for a call back.  Is this a legitimate business and why are they calling my house regarding my step daughter, if they have an issue with her they should be contacting her.

Receive nonstop calls from this office. They call me from 1-917-580-6963.  When I answered on Friday they asked for my father-in-law. They wanted to know if anyone was going to be home on Monday "because they were going to serve legal papers" to him. I told them there was no one at my home by that name. They called a few more times over the weekend. Most of the time they don't say anything at all. When they called this morning and I again told her there was no one by that name she gave me this 888 phone number to call to "be removed from their calling list". Needless to say it was a recording.

They called my husband's cell on Friday and today they are calling on my cell. Everything online identifies this number and like calls to be a scam.

How do I get this to stop? They call from different numbers all the time, so you never know it's them. I have asked them not to call me or my household members, and to communicate with me by US Mail. Of course, they refuse and this just goes on endlessly...How come these process servers they talk about never seem to arrive at my house?

This "firm" as they identify them selfs as, Deny to be a "firm" when asked for a bar number. They call me ENDLESSLY, They say they have a dept of mine that was transfered to their office from the company I suposively owe. They have threatened to "serve" me with court papers, and I never seen a thing from them... Hmm!

They called me using the number 347-394-1633 comes up on the caller ID as N Shore Bottling Company.  I don't answer unknown numbers and will not answer this number either.  I checked to see if there are any records or eisenburg, Whitman and associates, could not locate anything on them.  The fact that they are spoofing their caller ID is illegal and the threats they make to people are also illegal.  Scam

Some Lady called me said she was a Civil Process Server  says there is a law suit against me caller Id came up as 917-580-6963 says they are going to serve me on Friday the 12th 2013 I told here I didn't know if any one would be home and hung up then she called back from 888-211-9377 left a message leaving another phone number to call back. 888-493-8358 these people are a scam. they are just trying to get money from all of us.

I agree with u....little did they know i had just filed bankruptcy and by law no one supposed to be calling me pertaining to any type of debt if its real or a scam....they called me from 919-741-1633..then asked me to call 888-211-9377 and I spoked with a cynthia harper gave her my lawyers contact info and my case # We all have to be careful of scammers like this..thats y I am glad we share this  info among each other...be safe!

These people called my EX husband and his wife's house looking for me. They didnt leave any information. I had recieved a previous phone call from a lady stating that she will be at my house Thursday to serve. No one ever show up.

I realize it's been a while since anyone posted here, but just wanted to alert folks in case someone is checking in here!

There are complaints about them all over the internet for harassing people that do not owe the debt, threatening to arrest people for a debt, telling people the only way they'll stop calling is to pay "court costs" on an alleged suit they filed, etc.  According to some of the MANY complaint pages and numbers they've called using, it seems they call about debts that are 5-10 years old, don't care if they were paid or not because they want money.  There are people who have fallen for this, and stated that they paid, and are STILL waiting on getting the documentation of the debt from them.  Of course, their story is that they sent it out ... yeah, right.
What's laughable is one page on their website that says they follow the law during collection attempts.  OBVIOUSLY, NOT!  THEY have an F rating with the FL BBB (see below).

By the way, it would seem to me that, IF you had a bad debt, it would show on your credit report (if still eligible to be reported).  IF you do have a bad debt on your credit report, you might want to consult an attorney and/or the original creditor, rather than these folks who obviously could care less about the law.  [I am NOT an attorney, nor do I profess to be one.  I am NOT dispensing “legal advice,” simply giving my opinion!]

IF they were calling about a legitimate debt, they would NOT be calling to see if you'll be home all day on certain day to "deliver legal documents" or "subpeona."  A legit collector CANNOT discuss your bill with anyone else OR threaten to arrest you and/or send you to debtor's prison, etc.

   I personally don’t care WHICH branch of the government goes after these people, as long as THEY get REAL FEDERAL ARREST WARRANTS out on them!!  So, if you’ve been taken in by these folks, besides filing with the above, don’t forget the IRS!  (You KNOW they like going after money!!!)

It may not help, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to fill the mailboxes at the White House with letters about these folks.  If the President wants to get involved with courts and everyday peoples’ lives, then he needs to get involved in THIS!

SUGGESTIONS (again, I am NOT an attorney and am NOT attempting to dispense legal advice.  These are my PERSONAL suggestions)
1-IF you decide to answer one of their MANY calls from about 50 different telephone numbers (no, I’m not exaggerating), give them NO INFORMATION.  In fact, YOU MAKE THEM ANSWER QUESTIONS, and if they don’t, hang up on them!   I don’t know anything about spoofing/masking numbers, but there have been comments that they are VOIP’ing the majority of the numbers they’re calling from.  I do not doubt this, as a person said the number showing on her phone was that of the local police department.
2-Keep a running log of the date, time, telephone number, person calling and note of conversation to file with your complaints.  (Or, try to record the call, BUT they usually hang up when they’re told they’re being recorded.  ROFLOL, now how many LEGITIMATE collection agencies would do that?  NONE that I’ve ever heard!
3-Look up your state’s Statute of Limitations on debts that can be pursued in court (that you can still be sued for).  It seems to vary from 3-15years.
4-DO NOT allow them to intimidate or frighten you.  These idiots have even called the numbers attorneys, police officers, etc. with this scam.  Intelligent, they are NOT.  

USUAL PLOYS:
1-call friends, neighbors, relatives, employers, and you trying to intimidate you into paying JUST to make the calls stop (but, from looking online, they don’t stop…they just demand more). – Ask these folks to also keep a log of the calls, give them this internet page to check.  Ask them to do a search for ANY of these company names.  They’ll soon realize it that these people are nothing but SCAMMERS.
2-“…have important legal documents (or summons) to deliver, will you be home ---(day) from 8:30 to 4:30 to accept it?”
3-“There’s a warrant out for your arrest UNLESS you send us $xxx TODAY”  -- they seem to prefer asking for the “Green Dot” prepaid card and want you to call back with the numbers on back … harder to trace where to $ goes, apparently.

Because, there are NO process servers!  Process servers do NOT call ahead and ask if you're going to be home.  (If they did, NO ONE would EVER get served with notices of legal suits!)

They're just trying to bully and intimidate you into giving them money for nothing.

I had this happend to me today 12-20-2013 I glad I read other peoples post the same  and they do call from  a lot of number I block like 5 number and they still keep calling how do u stop this people from doing this

Eisenburd Whitman and Associate -attorney- called me about a credit card debt. They said they were attorneys and that I was being summons to appear in court. They said they would have the letter arrive tomorrow. When I called them Jada said that the statue of limitations has not expired and I could pay 1000.00 or go to court and pay 5000. When I checked my credit report it had been over 5 years and I told her that I could not be sued. She agreed and said that they closed the case. Always verify what your statue of limitations are in your state. Remember the time starts when you last made the payment.

Someone called from this number (888-493-8358) last night at 1 A.M.. did not wake up fast enough to answer, wouldn't matter any way because I don't answer calls from 1-888 or 800 numbers and specially in the middle of the night! they didn't leave a message.

Got called at 6:30 am....... Didn't pick up, went to voicemail......"your prepaid mastercard has been locked due to suspicious activity, press one to reactivate....."  Yeah right...... Scammers...

I ignored the call. They left no message. Give no one any information about yourself on the phone, but I am stating the obvious. This scammer is a cancer!
