I have gotten a phone call from this number several times, they claim that I owe large sums of money in loans, and that I am in trouble for fraud. They said that they are law enforcement, I do not believe that at all.  They harass me over the phone, and have called before, saying that they have a warrant for my arrest, and that they were going to send local law enforcement to pick me up at my home. I told them yesterday that I do not know of what they are talking about.  It is quite unsettling that they know certain information about me. They asked me if I wanted to go to jail?  I have been a victim of fraud before and fear that others are trying to scare me into paying money I do not owe to anyone. They told me they would settle for $885.45.  I would like to put a stop to this, it is most aggravating to me. Who ever they are, they are the ones who need to go to jail.

i have received the same message this mans voice is annoying, he saying that i owe from a payday
loan, i no that i paid my pay day loans in full and do not owe anyone any money,when i called them back and told them that i was going to report them, do you no what he said to me, kiss my a__
i said what did you say, he said it again and they hung up on me, there has to be away to stop these calls.

I got a call telling I was going to jail for fraud and they called my home phone too! Don't know how they got either number, but I didn't give them time to tell me more I told them to go straight to H--- and hang up!
I have a fraud alert on my credit report so they can't get information but it scares me tht they have my last 4 SS and my name!
What can be done about these darn people they are all Mexicans or sound like it and can't speak very good English!

Total Scam. I called the number back. They said they could help consolidate my payday loans. I have never been to payday in my life. I told him that. He said have a good day and hung up. Didn't even ask my name. They were from India.

After they called several times, I touched off a compressed air horn for boats next to to mouth piece of the phone. Somewhere someone should have a broken eardrum.

I have received many threatening calls from this number, 888-497-6840 and I was told that if I did not pay up, then God help me and my family.  Was this a threat?  I don't know but I have turned them in to the FBI.  Now, each time I get a call, I record the messages and I have made a formal complaint to the FBI.  They will get shut down and open up 2 doors down!  Now I just totally ignore their call, for they are nothing more than cheap scammers who support terrorism.

Same as above.  I could not understand a word she was sayng, and she told me I was stupid!  I just hung up.  I want this stopped.  This is the 2nd phone number I have received calls from.  I alerted this site, or another like this site, about that number also.  They are scammers and I won't even bother answering anymore.  I never had pay day loans either.  I just want this harassment to stop.  Thanks.

I have been receiving these calls as well.  They are even calling my work.  I called the company that they said they are from.  Cash America has a consumer notice of the scam.  I highly suggest that if they are saying cash america or any other company please go to the official website and contact them.  They were very helpful but can not stop these calls.  Also contact the Feceral Trade Commission and file a complaint.  You can do it online and can even be anonymous if you want.  I also contacted my attorney and he suggested putting a fraud alert on all three credit reports and if they have repeated your bank info to have your accounts changed.  As all the others, they have told me that their prayers are with me and my family and we will need it, good luck in court, they were going to send the autorities to my work to arrest me, they would tell my employer that I was a criminal and I would lose my job.  They also told me that I had taken out a $300 payday loan (never did) and that when I was finished going to court I would owe over $8000.  The calls have become less frequent since the secretary at work screamed and yelled at them.  As far as I know they have not called the school back.  She told them that she knows all about their scam and that we have been in touch with authorities and that if they call back they would be recorded....oh and that reminds me....they tried to tell me they were the FBI....but called themselves the Bureau of Federal Investigation....which is funny to me because the initials BFI used to be our trash collectors....and that is what they are....trash!  Please take all precautions because they do have your information.  My guy repeated my entire social security number to me and my bank account and birthday.  Very Scary!

I get calls from them also.  They all have the same voice - sounds like they are from India.  Harrassing and threatening people.  I believe they are from US Fast Cash

I continue to get calls from the people also saying almost the identical information you stated.  They change their names and where they are from on every call.  I am going to take your suggestion and file a complaint on them.

We are getting calls from a series of semi-literate people from this number regarding a Diane Brechbill who stayed here years ago and apparently defaulted on a loan.  I asked for the company name and location they said it's BDR in Langhorne Pa, for whatever that's worth. I'm calling my government representatives regarding telephone harrassment charges.  Federal law says a debt collector cannot contact you by phone once you tell them to stop.

Whatever they are, they are NOT LEGITIMATE.

Have you ever applied for a loan online, payday or otherwise? I did but then never answered their responses because it wasn't for what they said it would be for. I never got any money from them. Then I started getting these calls. They are a scam. If I was dumb enough to give them the ok to take the money they claim I owe them from my account then they would wipe me out and I'm screwed because I gave them permission. If they try to take the money without my ok then they have crossed the line and have committed fraud for which they could be investigated and charged for by the feds. They said there is a hold on my social security# (can't be done) my address is under investigation (for what? what did my address do?) I ignore their calls and don't answer any number I don't know. They even tried to block their number but used 63 instead of *67! LOL That was dumb on their part! Report them to the attorney generals office!

They were offering debt relief from payday loans, and asked if I had any.  I said no, and he said ok thank you, have a blessed day.

Most likely a scam.

I have received 5 calls in the last two weeks from this number - 1 on 5/26 and then once today (so far) and 3 yesterday.  I generally don't answer caller unknown or toll free calls.  I really do wish they would stop.  I'm glad to know about the harrassment others have gotten so I know NOT to answer when they call.  I'll just keep a log of how often they are calling.

I got a phoen call from this number a couple minutes ago but they didn't leave a message.  I missed the call but i'm waiting for them to call back so i can yell at him the same way i yelled at the guy who called the other day and tried to pull this scam.  I told him i knew it was a scam and he kept saying no it wasn't.  He just kept saying he was from the Legal Department but never said of what company.  The rest i couldn't understand cause he could barely speak English.

have you found a solution to this? in the past i too have taken out payday loans but always paid them back, if i had not , wouldnt i have been contacted by now? this man ( if you can call him that) has been very rude and threating on my voice mails sayin gi am going to court in massachusetts

i got a call from someone mark anthony ( right i could barely understand him ,yet he has an american sounding name ) telling me that there were 3 cases against me in massachusetts, that i was in deep trouble and had better not ignore his message and either call him back immediately or have my attorney call him! these people are morons!! i already told the SOB's the person they were looking for didnt have this number anymore when they called the other day and i told the guy who called i had already reported then to the local police, he said ok we no call you again!! yeah right ! i ahve blocked so many damn numbers form these friggin idiots on my phone i dont hear a thing for  a few days and then they start calling again from a different number, how do you report them and what number do i call? it seems as though alot of people have reported them but nothing seems to get accomplished even if you do report them!!!

the loser called me from and said he was callling from US Cash Advance, telling me i was in very big trouble and he could only help me if i called back right away, they also have called my previous  of employment numerous times and even after being told i no longer work there, they continue to call and say terrible things, i dont know what is the best thing to do, call them back and give them crap or continue to ignore their calls? messages???
