This number belongs to HSBC (Household Finance) and it is a phone number in their collections department. These people will use any means possible to get to you. After speaking with you they will continue to contact your relatives (through the use of public records) to "pressure" you. Unfortunately I became unemployed and fell behind on payments. Even after speaking with me, they used public records to contact one of my relatives.

These people actually called about my father in law.  He said it was urgent that I have them contact them.  Like I wouldn't research it first.  These people are creepy.

They called my house 888-505-1572 ext 4476 charles atkins asking if I would give a message to my neighbor they said because they get a weird dial tone when they call them! I asked if they were a collection agency and they said "OH NO IT'S MUCH MORE SERIOUS!" That is absoulutley ridiculous to call me for my damn neighbor who i don't speak to! They are so full of crap and should be shut down!

These people keep calling my house looking for my adult son.  Refuse to say what company they represent or why they are calling, just keep saying it's "an urgent matter."  When I called back, the recording said it was United Recovery Systems, a collection agency.

have been receiving calls from the same Kelvin Turner. He said he was with United Recovery System. However, when I searched the number it shows up as HSBC. If in fact they are part of United Recovery System, URS was fined $240,000 and had a number of restrictions placed on them for violating the FTC FDCP act in April of 2002. They were to continue keeping records of complaints for the next four years. Some of the complaints were: abusive language, threatening arrest, harassing the comsumer even after it was requested that they no longer call. Contacting third parties ie: children, parents and/or other family members. It seems as though they have not changed their ways. Maybe somehow legal action should come about to help them see the error of their ways.

Received call from 'Vivian' who wanted to know if we knew someone down the block from us. She was trying to get in touch with them and didn't have their number. Wanted us to contact them and have them call her at 888-505-1572, Ext. 4690.

A Adrian Callego called for my husband and when i asked who was calling they said he will know.  I responded that it is an 800 number and he wouldnt know.  I asked what it was regarding and she said I have Good News.  I said good news huh?  what kinda of good news, she said just have him call to get the good news!  WTF already.  Just thought you wold like to have a chuckle with this one.  Needless to say they are on the block list yet again

Same number as above 888 505 1472 called my neighbors and said my wife was in critical condition in the hospital and we needed to call.

Got a call from this number from a Cindy Schwable xt 4581, looking for my Father.  I live in the midwest, he lives out east.  wouldn't say what it was for but it was an "urgent business matter"

Holly contacted me at my job and starting yelling at me that I needed to pay my debt right away.  When I told her not to call my job she started raising her voice and yelling that my debt would not go away.  I again told her not to call my job again.  She started telling me that she would call back and I hung up on her.  That happened on Monday and it is now Thursday and they have not contacted my work again but are continuing to call my cell and leave messages.  I also found out that they have contacted my Grandma and Father in law asking them to relay the message to call.  They told them that I put them down as references which is not the case.   The called ID says western warehouse when they call.

I received a phone call from these folks too asking me for info about someone I've not seen or spoken to for years, sheesh. Does this collection agency collect for all kinds of debts or only house payment debt? I ask since they're called Household Finance.

Yes, these people have called my neighbor too!  This is illegal...how in the world do I get them to stop doing this?  If I had the money, I would pay them.  I can't get a decent job...been looking for over 2 years.  I just don't have it and calling my neighbors isn't going to make it magically appear!

This company has called many of my neighbors, many of whom are in their 80s, and tells them they are not able to contact me and it is an emergency ... sometimes they say they are a collection agency, others just give them some letters and said it is important that I call them immediately - a matter of grave importance that will effect me for the rest of my life.  The neighbors, that I do not talk with on a regular basis other than Hi now want to know what is the emergency or call their kids to deliver a message to me. It is not for the world to know what is or not important in my life.  When calling the phone number you get rude people with strong accents hard to understand. I ask them to send something in the mail to me they say they just want the money sent to them ... what money and for what????? There is never a message left at my home phone on the phone number on the caller ID ... something should be done to stop these practices. I would sue them if I knew who to sue; but without receiving anything in the mail or messages where do you go to stop these rude people and have them stop calling homes around yours. The caller ID is out of state as owner are they ashamed to be known?

This company took $125 out of my checking account - I did not give anyone permission to do this.  Because of them taking this money out of my account I got an overdraft fee of $35.  when I try to call the this number (which my bank ended up giving me) of course no one can tell me what it is about.

This number doesn't come up as 1-888-505-1572, but shows up on the caller id as "Fife Lake, MI  570-8192".  When I answered, it was a woman named "Sophia" calling from Houston for my mother.  I asked if she gave them my phone number, and she said I was listed as a relative or associate.  HUH?  Which one is it?  Anyway, she gave me her number and direct extension, said her last name is "Guerra" and to have my mom call her as soon as possible for information that is urgent.

They called looking for my son who lives in another state

I just got a call from them asking information about a relative.  They also said they were from URS a financial investing company.  Try to ask me all types of questions and told me it was urgent that they talk to them but I didn't answer them. I had asked them to give me some information about their company but she said she couldn't. If this belongs to HSBC -BEWARE!!!!
This company is a snake in the grass!!  As for URS if you know that this company is using your name the way that they do you should take some action.

They just called  my ex husband ext 4581 cynthia...at least he is smart enough to let me know ..we have been divorced since 2005 ..no idea why ??
