This phone number called me and it was some sort of automated message.It was unaudible, except for some mention of "Berkeley" and "jail." I don't know anyone in jail.

trying to find out who called from this number and where?

I rec'd 2 calls in the morning.  When I called back it said hold for customer assistance.  I hung up.  Don't know anyone in jail.

I received a call this morning from this number.  It mentioned that the call was from the county jail.  I don't know anyone in jail.  I did not accept the charges.

The number called me but i didnt know how to accept the call.

8885068407 called my cell phone. I picked up; however the automated voice was inaudible. What I could make out was something about county jail.

Got a call from this number at about 2:50 p.m. CST. Couldn't tell what they said except something about prepaid charges. To accept the call, I was supposed to press a number (don't remember which but I think it was a single digit. Seems like there was some other option. I hung up and tried reverse look-up to no avail.

I recieved a call from 8885068407... but i could barely make out what the person was saying.

this is a service that sets up pre-paid calling accounts to receive calls from inmates at jails.  since most mobie companies dont let you accept collect calls anymore, this is their way to circumvent that.  it's inmate caling services or something.  it's legit.

this number called me, said that some guy was trying to get in touch w/me(couldnt understand the name) and sd to accpet charges push a certain button. after i pushed it, it put me thru to an operator that said he couldnt tell me who was calling or why. everytime i asked him to explain the company and what they do to me he couldnt. He just kept saying that he couldnt help me. This same company has also called me from 888 638 8768. its some company named inmate communications programs or something like that.

what jail is this collect call coming from?

i received this call on my cell,didnt except charges.....this is not right!!!
cell phone companies should step in and do something about it. Isnt this crime?If so who handles the investagation into it?

got a call.ignored it and when liswtened to voice mail it said i ignored a message

I didn't pick the call up, but I got a voicemail with what sounded
like a pre-recorded message that said "Hang up now... Hello?" I know someone who just went to jail, so I guess it could be that.

My mother is receiving calls from this #888-506-8407 it is an inmate $ acct. so they can call cell phone #'s unless you know for sure that someone is in jail DO NOT SET UP AN ACCT.  IT IS A SCAM!!!!

this is a legit company people. dont be stupid. my boyfriend just went to jail and you set up an account with them so the person in jail can call u. its like 3.50 per 15 min call u get with them. if you dont want to put money on their account so they can talk to you just dont accept the charges. otherwise stop complaining. its not a scam.

If this is a call from a jail what county? Are you sure you don't mean prison? I get calls from county a lot but I still didn't recognize this voice or system.. and I already have minutes paid for the county jails near me..  maybe it was prison.. if so what state? I got a call after 10 p.m.....

my husband just got a call from that same number and also could not understand the machine. We dont know anybody in jail. And for this is for Alyse aug-28 2009 who wrote that we are stupid..... It's not that we are stupid, there's a lot of legit companies out there and still take your money. Stupid is the person who is in jail!

Received this call on my cell phone at 2:30 a.m.  To say that I was "ticked" is and understatement.  I had my cell phone charging; only reason it was on.
Since my husband was just home from the hospital and needed his sleep didn't make us happy!  My message to the party at the other end ~ "DO NOT CALL AGAIN!
