Said they have been sent a tax evasion notice for my name and I was to call them or I would be arrested......who is this?????

I got the same message. Sounded like it was from a cell phone or something. Very scratchy, hard to understand.

Claiming to be Federal agent, talking about a tax evasion charge.

Called about tax evasion notice and said to call back or we "would be arrested." Said his name was Franklin and claimed to be from the Federal Securities Bureau (A Google search of which reveals that it is "the internal counterintelligence agency of the Russian Federation and successor to the Soviet KGB; formerly led by Vladimir Putin").

Just got a call from this number.. Guy had a strong Indian accent and said was from Fraud Tax Invasion, which is highly unlikely when i called back from my cellphone number the guy said F**k you stop calling me

Said I was in trouble for tax evasion, he was a Federal agent and I must call immediately to resolve the issue or I would be put in jail.

Same guy named Franklin... I am going to call back and give him my personal info right away

This IS a scammer. He said his name was Benjamin.The govt NEVER calls and threatens on the phone. Federal agencies are required to send out mailed notifications. DO NOT GET SCARED NOR GIVE THEM YOUR INFO OR MONEY!

These guys just don't give up; they have been calling for weeks now. Same written speech just different names and voices. What kind of idiots are they? Look them up. It is a fraudulent call. The government will always mail out notices and never with such a nasty tone. I called in and reported them to the local FBI offices on Wilshire Blvd. They are breaking the law impersonating "government/IRS representatives".

Completely agree. He said his name was Franklin Benjamin. That really fooled me. I don't know how to get them to stop though. I don't know what they are getting out of this either.

Just got the call too.  Indian accent, sounded like from a call center.  Said his name was Kevin Rogers and calling about tax fraud, and something about warrant for arrest.  The police around here have been receiving notification of many of this type of calls.  Last time I got the call they said they wanted me to pay what they claimed was an outstanding amount by purchasing a prepaid card from Walmart or Walgreens and then call them with the number.  Yeah, I'm sure that IRS really wants me to pay outstanding amounts with prepaid card from Walmart!!!

Got a call from a "Kevin Rodgers" who had a very strong accent and who was very rude.  He kept asking for my husband, and when told that he was at work, demanded that I take down his name and phone number for my husband to call back.  I looked up this number and got this page (and many others).  Good thing--now I know for sure it's a scam. I appreciate whomever set these pages up.

These people can not play with these issues they should be arrested.

I got a call from this number and he has guts to leave a message that If I dont call back I will be arrested. Dont know how to stop these people from calling me with harrassing messages!!

Easy. Buy a new phone with call block function and BLOCK THEM FOR LIFE ! HA HA

I got the same message. Called back & threatened on the phone. They had my right name. Told 'em to call my taxman & they said I could deal with the police in 1/2hr & hung up. I reported 'em to the Sheriff Dept. & IRS. It's a scam; don't give $ or any info!!!

I got the same call who acted as IRS supervisor told me that I owe the money to the government. This guy gave me fake ID and Case number. Also gave me 3 options. 1. Pay in cash 2. Go to court (If I loose I pay another 40,000 to of what I owe. If I won, IRS pays double amount of I owe). 3. Pay cash now, then rectify later. I reported to the police as scam.

Arrest me? I would like to see that happen. lol
