they say their collection agency and i've been notified by jonathan carpenter.

I got two calls last night from this number; one to my land line and one to my cell. They didn't leave any message.

They called me again on 2/8/13 and actually left a message. It's a collection agency. I called back, and they asked me if I was <person with name similar to mine> with SSN ending <3 digits>. I said I was not, and the man I spoke to was actually very polite.

This company is a scam.  We received calls for months threatening that we would have allegations against us for evading something or other with a brother.  We called them out on it after they could give us absolutely no information, and they immediately stopped calling.

John Cartwright left threatening voicemails before making sure it was me about a case he said is "going to forward to the county." As if I'm a criminal, called my work, don't know how he got the number and called himself a " paralegal". Then I called back at work and got a John bolt say the original creditor is suing me for an outrageous number and if I don't settle out of court that amount will double. Ask the original creditor and they denied it. and that I do not how that debt amount. So I call John bolt again had him repeat what he said and recorded it. I said, "So if u want to sue me bring it on and I will counter sue". He told he I would not sue, I will just run away and hide like I normally do. Think again.

A woman called me from this number asking for a person I never heard of. I told her it's a wrong number. She insisted that the person is my neighbor and gave out our number in case of emergency.  She asked me to take a message  and deliver a message at the neighbor door step.  She said, it's emergency and claimed that the neighbor gave her our number. She also correctly identify my hubby name for our phone number. She even give me our neighbor's address.

The story doesn't add up. We never know or talk to such neighbor who she wants to reach. I asked her why don't you leave a message on his phone. She again said it's emergency. It's too weird that a stranger would give out our number for emergency contact. So, I said NO I'll NOT take any message nor deliver it. Sorry I can't help you.

I received a call from Johnathan Cartwright stating that my grown son owes 600 to a Marks and Morgan and he has to pay up by the end of the month or they will send to his home a summons to court and if he wasn't home they will go to his job. We are pretty sure my son settled with Marks and Morgan 3 years ago. We called marks and morgan who sold this account to another party, we called them  they sold it to another agency, we called them and they sold it to another agency who we cannot get in touch with. We are pretty sure this was settled years ago. But, this guy sounds lagitt. but what I am reading I am not sure. he is giving my son 2 wks tp pay or he goe's to court and 1,500 court and all late fees will be added on. ZDon't know what to do.... is this a scam. MW and associates is not listed under the BBB.    Help, but I
