Report a phone call from 888-519-3894 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- wakejagr| 1 replyThis is a number Verizon uses to (among other things?) notify you of a past due amount that could lead to a service interruption.
- Caller: verizon
- Ryan replies to wakejagrThere are numerous reports that this is NOT ACTUALLY VERIZON but people pretending to be to get your credit card information. If you recieve a call from anyone claiming to be from Verizon asking for your credit card or anyother form of payment over the phone, tell them thank you but you will just call Verizon when its more convient for you and hang up. If you actually have verizon and are paranoid you can always actually call them or check you account online.
- seracohwI let it go to VM and there was no message.
I paid verizon last week and they always leave a message. This has to be a scam. - Annoyed| 1 replyI received the following message sent to my cell phone from 888-519-3894
"Verizon with an urgent message regarding your recent change to FIOS service which could include video and/or data service as you were advised in the letter that was recently sent to you. We know how important it is for you to have your service with FIOS reinstated. To choose the best payment option available to you call us on 1-866-803-4839. Or visit us on the web at verizon.com/payonline. Verizon thanks you for your prompt attention."
Since I was not aware of any equipment needing to be returned, I called the phone number and I was prompted to enter my phone number and account number. I was then not able to speak to a person. I became suspicious and contacted 800-VERIZON and they confirmed that they had no record of equipment needing to be returned and that the phone number was not a Verizon number. I then put a password on my account. I provided Verizon with the information about the incoming and return phone numbers in September, but today both of these numbers are still operating.
I never received any documentation in the mail.

Verizon Telephone Number :
I don't have a Verizon Telephone Number
This seems like a suspicious way of getting charges attached to my bill.
I am filing a complaint with the FTC and I hope you do too.- Caller: Fraudster Posing as Verizon
- ClayThis number has called me before and today has called 3 times. My verizon bill is always up to date. Plus, when I don't pick up, they don't leave a message. If it were an important, or legitimate call, they'd leave one. This has to be a scam.
- Bugs BunnyNever had Verizon in my life, and now I'm getting calls from 888-519-3894 daily. VERIZON SUCK!!!
- Caller: VERIZON
- Call type: Event reminder
- not importantThis actually is a verizon payment reminder call number. I have cell service and internet service and this was related to my internet service. So....relax it is a real vendor...at least it was for me!!
- Caller: verizon
- Call type: Event reminder
- RG.............if it's important, leave me a message????
- Caller: unknown
- robb7622| 1 replyI guess it could be Verizon, considering I am a Verizon customer, but I do not have FIOS service which is what the phone calls are reminding me to pay for.
- Caller: possibly Verizon
- Call type: Event reminder
- DCD replies to AnnoyedThey called me yesterday and again today with the same message. Funny thing is I don't own FIOS TV, it's not even in my area so I knew they were a bunch of crap. We need a government gang-up on this company they are probably from Mexico stealing our money for the drug trade.
- dcd replies to robb7622It's not verizon dude.
- RonLots of Conflicting Info on this page regarding this number. It IS an automated call from VERIZON.
It IS about your bill being late.
BUT: I can only speak for myself. I was late and got the call. I did, however go online to make my payment. I feel safer about either,
1. calling a known Verizon number and/or
2. Logging in to my account and paying via secure webpage.
It's ALWAYS better to assume the worst and Call a Known Number when Paying a Creditor.- Caller: VERIZON CREDIT / PAYMENTS
- Karl Rogenthese people want info for dooms day prep per food.. i gave the steve bloombergs #.
- Caller: bob kramer
- AlexIt is Verizon regarding dsl or high speed Internet bill. Verizon and Verizon wireless are technically two separate companies. They have a different number to call back. Verizon uses a computer dialer for automated account info.
- Caller: Verizon
- CalledI'm not even a Verizon customer so glad I checked this. I hate that people can call my cell phone and use my minutes when I have no reason to talk with them. Will delete and not use minutes. Glad I don't have to make a living harassing people.
- KrisThis IS Verizon. It is not a hoax or a scam. However, it's an automated call giving a different number to call if you want to talk to a real, live person. In our case, it was a billing issue.
- Caller: Verizon
- VickiI do not have a Verizon account of any kind yet this morning I received both a text message and a phone call from 888-519-3894 stating that I owe $494.84 on an account ending in 9490. I decided to call the local Verizon store just to check this out. I gave them the phone number and text information. Verizon asked me if I had ever had a Verizon account, to which I said yes but it was a really long time ago, so she checked and said no you don't have an account with us and that this was a SCAM call and text, so don't answer either one and never give them your personal information. I thanked her for confirming all that so I don't have to worry.
