Rude to the max - they call me every 3 or 4 months looking for "Carlos"

called my next door neighbor obviously never lived there left a threating message on there answering machine what is this about??? how did they call someone right next to me really creapy.

Same as the rest...rude and this person name was "Ida". They will call starting from 8:02am to 8:58pm. You must send a letter to them asking them to Stop calling..and as I have found out you really must send it so they have to sign for it..That way, they cannot say they did not get the letter, and after they have received the letter asking them to stop calling, they will be in violation of the LAW..and you can Sue!!

keeps calling looking for an Arseno Cantu.  Supposedly one of my neighbors and they left a message asking me to deliver a message to Arseno to call them.  I am not a debt collector, they need to do their own jobs.

called 5 times during day asking for VAN and  stated "very urgent to call them" or "they will sue  and/or attach wages!" very RUDE and do not speak distinctly (they mumble names) but the threats of lawsuit are spoken clearly and loudly. Answering machine picked up... NO VAN has ever had this #

Left a message on my machine asking for someone else.  When I called, VERY RUDE and got mad that I didn't have an account number.  Called again and left another message, this time with the account number.  I called them, gave them the number and they said they'd remove me from the list...we'll see.

I received a call from this number and it came up as 419 on my phone and nothing else. I didnt answer it. She leaves a message and says called me I need to talk to you ASAP.

1-419 Blocked. First off the collection laws require non blocking of caller ID, second they must say who they are, and who they collecting for. Being rude is plain stupid, and I or any one should never ever call back a person being this way. While I know I may owe a debit, frankly if they need it so bad send me a letter with proper details. Calling in this fashion gets them zip from me!

I happen to know for a fact exactly what this buiness does and exactly how they work. Most of them debt collectors are extremely flexible and can help out a great deal as far as making arrangments for resolution is concerned. I recommend if someone from UCB is trying to reach you, you return the call. If not they will continue to call your place of employment, family members, friends, neighbors, and associates trying to reach you. It's simple, return the call and become enlightened and stop being paranoid!

I Got a message on my home phone for my exwifes brother. I have been divorced for over 17 years and I have had very litle contact with him. 1.How did they get my phone number??? 2.My phone number is unlisted and I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST!!! 3.Why call me??? 4. The 1st time this person Ashley called, my phone number showed up on my caller ID with a * in front of My name then my phone number!!! The second time she called back (the next day) the phone number that showed up was * PHOENIX,AZ 480-274-1206

My sister in another state received a call from 1-888-520-1845.  I don't have any other information except that she told me they were bill collectors.  I wonder how they tied my sister into me.  I have never used her as a reference or listed her as my nearest relative.  Heck, we aren't even that close.  Now she's involved with my business...not cool.

These people keep calling my LATE Dad's house asking for me. Dad and I have the same name. My poor Step Mom, 84, gets in a tither because she keeps telling them that Dad's dead, all his bills are paid, and she doesn't want them calling. They finally asked for me, Jr., the other day and had my address. Dad's number and address is published, mine is unlisted. 1) How'd they get my info? 2) They were VERY RUDE to my step Mom. 3) The One Agency I owe money to, calls me directly at my home, under agreements I have made with them, so there is no need for anyone to be calling my Dad's house.

if you would all pay your bills they would not have a job for u to be called all the time. get real and a life

Hey "jane"  you must be one of those ignorant bill collectors to leave an ignorant answer a you did.  You apparently didn't bother to thoroughly read all these messages to leave an intellegent reply,,now did you??   Bill collectors call whom ever they please, even if you have nothing to do with what they are calling about.  Even if they call a wrong number they attack who ever answers the phone, no questions asked, they break every law of the fair debt collection act.  So tell me now who needs to get real and get a life...........BILL COLLECTORS!  Like the bill collectors that called the families that had members that  died in the twin towers...how heartless is that????????????/
