Low life telemarketers with no authority

I received two calls from this phony company.  First they called my work # and then called my house # which I have never given out for anything.   I live with my 88 year old grandmother who is in bad health and they told her that I had a pending court case and that I needed to return the call by 7:00 pm or papers would be filed.  The lady that called was named Corey Roberts.  She gave me some phony case # which doesn't mean anything.  It's just scare tactics to make you think that you are about to get sued.  I have never received any documentation in the mail pertaining to this so called case they claim they have on file for me.  My main # that I use for everything is my cell# and they never once called that #.  When I called them back and spoke to Corey Roberts she said it is from a payday loan from 2008 for Impact Cash.  I did take out a loan with them but had paid back 3 times the amount that was borrowed.  When I explained this to her she stated that's not what she shows and that if I never received a paid in full letter than the debt is valid.  100% a complete lie.  I asked her to send me documentation in the mail and she stated that she does not have to and her company is not required to send any documentation.  This company, and I use that word loosely, is nothing more than a low lever bottom feeder debt collector.  Corey Roberts asked if I would like to speak to an attorney and I stated not until they send me something official in the mail.  I then asked if they were a law office and she refused to answer.  By law a debt collector has 5 business days from the date of contact to send legal documentation.  These clowns broke about 3 or 4 FDCPA laws in one single call.  I advise anybody that is being contacted by these scam artists to request debt validation and to file complaints with your state's AG as well FTC.  DO NOT EVER SEND THEM ANY MONEY OR GIVE OUT ANY ADDITIONAL PERSONAL INFORMATION.  EVER.

Company called my work number and left a message on my voicemail. She stated her name was Rachael and that a suit was pending in my name.

Been getting these calls too.  Not sure who they are.  I called an attorney and was told they are probably from out of state (from which I reside) and there isn't much they can do but harass you.  The male voice (pre-recorded) is very scarry and threatening.

This company is about helping you clear up your credit... if you took out a payday loan or have credit card debt,,, listen to what they can offer you... the nasty reply's on this page are from people who have no concerns about clearing up or paying their debt... The reason that the economy is bad as it is today... dead beat debtors!... they helped me settle out my acct. and gave me a good price on it as well.. If you owe or are not sure, at least listen to them. That's all i'm saying.

Mam you spoke to someone who is not too bright,,, all you had to do was fax in documents that it has been paid and the acct would have been closed... Stressing too hard over nothing...

I received a call from this # stating that they were the SS# Office.  Bunch of fonies....

Actually you shouldn't fax over anything to anybody unless they can verify your debt or debt they think you owe first. Scammers can get a lot of information for little documentation you give them. You sound unprofessional and probably are a scammer yourself. Quit stressing?? You guys bug the hell out of everyone!! lol....I wouldn't listen to your advice if it was the only advice on earth....Also, I don't fall for any of this BS...my suggestion??? Play along and have fun! That's what I do! Irratates them and eventually they stop calling

This ph# 888-590-2265 called our home and then called our son's cell# and theratened to send county investiagtors to our home, our places of employment, and seize bank accounts and freeze pay from our jobs. My son answered his cell and the person on the other end calling from 888-590-2265 told him they were debt collectors on a outstanding bill from over 10 yrs ago now to the sum of $900 but if he paid up today $100 then it would be considered settled. My son didn't know what this person was talking about, only this person was threatening things and he panicked then gave his credit card # but we have filed a comlpiant w/State Attorney in Indiana after finding out this is a scam. My son's bank closed his account but report nothing can be done about the lost $100. Another bank has informed us that is not true and continue making noise, calling officials, and going into the bank which we plan to do next business day.  


He left this message on our home ph:

Frank Clark calling with the legal division here in Mariana County. Looking to speak with  (Son name) only complaint I received in the office this morning at this time. There has been a case filed against him. I do have a court order to come out to eight thirty (Our home address) on Wednesday October twenty third between three forty five to four pm. Just to investigate this case we do expect that he or (me-his mom) is available on that address."
