It was a water testing company called Puronics - they wanted to come out and test the water in the home and show us the levels of chlorine and sediment.

it's a scam.  they are in cahoots with a company in Winter Garden that was charged with fraud and supposedly put out of business.  Here we go again!

by the way, they are also committing mail fraud by sending postcards stating "WATER UPDATE!" and refers to G.S.S. 1604 N Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, FL 32750.  BEWARE!  They are registered felons and also are facing charges out of state.

This number is on a card that I keep getting.  They make it look  "official"...ELECTRIC UPDATE, we were unable to reach you by phone...it is urgent you call us at 1-888-604-7328.
DON'T DO IT...it's a sales pitch/scam.  Hopefully seniors will not respond when it comes in the mail!

I got a postcard yesterday that said,  "ELECTRIC UPDATE.  Unfortunately we were unable to reach you by phone or in person.  Please contact us within 72 hours."   I figured it was from the same [***] who were calling my cell phone every day for four months about a "free energy audit".  Every time they called, it was from a different number, and a lot of the calls showed up as "Private" on the caller ID.

This is a company called Eshield of Florida, and they sell insulation for your house.

This is a company that is doing business as Great Southern Water Treatment.  They are NOT BBB accredited and have a BBB rating of C minus.  The BBB has a record of 45 complaints against them with 2 "serious" complaints.

I am new to the area and got a card in the mail from EOF, Longwood, FL.  My Google search lead me to this discussion site.  Thanks to all for the warning.  In my view, constant harrassment from these predators should be considered an invasion of privacy and illegal.  I plan to do some research about it and see what can be done.  Anyone out there have any suggestions or information to pass along to help stop this?

We got the same card and made an appointment. We got uneasy about the call. We saw this line so we canceled the appointment. Almost immediately we got a call asking for our banking number and saying that they were going to charge us a cancellation fee.

This company called Puronics, or  Great Southern Services LLC, Great Southern Water Treatment, and their newest company name EOS/ eShield Of Florida or Home Energy Makeover, all are the same, beware of their sales tactics they will guarantee that this eShield Attic Energy Barrier Insulation Energy Makeover will lower your bill by 25% plus this other stuff call  "thermonomics"lower it another 25%. This business is out of 1604 N Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, FL 32750,  Well i have done some research about these products, you can buy eShield at Costco for a third of the cost. Costco does not install it but seriously anyone could do this as long you can handle the heat in the attic in the long end it is worth at 1/3 of the price. Research "thermonomics" has cause problem to your AC. I am not say it is a bad product but I am saying paying 9K to 11K is ridiculous to pay, this short stubby kid came in my home with his sales pitch and thinks he is the [***] and studder when i ask questions about his company. They will tell you everything you want to hear to close the deal, but we decide to look into it, "THEN THE CATCH" when he call the office, some other slimy guy gets on the phone and tells me because who i work for and if i give him referrals he would discount down to 6900 hundred. Still was not worth it....They target older people and I got a hold of a past client from search the web, Remember anytime you finance something under a line of credit, you have a 3 day rescission those poor people got screw over 11K and they install the next day because they don't want you to think about it, BE VERY careful, I hate seeing people get screwed like this....this short [***] told me if you allow us to install on our time we will lower the cost of tax and labor charge, next thing you know they are in your house the next day... OLDER PEOPLE PLEASE BE CAREFUL...Just b/c I am black, I am not stupid...

Horrible Company. High Pressure and dishonest. WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

cross reference this address- 1604 ronald reagan. blvd., longwood,fl 33750.  card received with Bounty offer and to call 800-574-6031. listed as .E.O.F. marketing. evidently running scams for several companies. i will be checking on tjis further but the best advice is to ignore the calls and do not respond to mail offering free stuff if you call. these people are looking for "live numbers" and "real persons" from which to get additional information for their scams. just report these vermin and try to get authorities to please, please do something about this. It is getting downright scary that they can be allowed to operate in this  manner. this is a local address and florida is rampant with this type operation . my inquiry will be to florida  atty. general , not to E.O.F. Marketing.

They are back.  I just got a postcard that says 'Electric Update' and seems like you have to call them.  Then they want you to leave your phone and contact info on their voicemail.  SCAM!!!

I hope no one falls for it because it you are giving them too much info.

I got a card from them Saturday, addressed to my deceased sister in law, with 'Electric Update' and a phone number.  Fine print at the bottom says "this is not from your utility company."  I'd add a picture if I could.

She never had electric service at  this house (my Mother in Law did, then my husband), and the vague wording made it obvious it wasn't legit.  I planned on calling back and giving them a hard time that they're trying to contact a dead person.  I won't bother now.

My little yellow card came in the mail today.  It had Electric Update in bold print at the top of the card.  Out of curiousity I called the number, 888-604-7328.  They informed me that all of my neighbors were complaining about their high energy bills..................  Long story short, they wanted  to come to my house to "evaluate" my insullation.  I then asked her if this was a sales call, she said no.  She then pressed to set up an appointment.  I told her I was not interested and she immediately hung up.

They are also using name "Eof" in their latest Electric Update postcard.

I saw EShield of Longwood at the Home &Garden show in Orlando recently. Came out to the house, did the energy inspection, sales pitch all the way. Cost 9775.00. I said noway, by the end of the day which was about 3hrs the cost was 6600.00 ($80/month). I even spoke to the senior VP some guy named Al who swore me to secrecy about the great deal I was getting. He even told me he drives a Bently. So I decided to check it out. And because of these comments and others I am going to decline this wonderful offer first thing in the morning. Just received my "water update" blue card in Rockledge FL, same shady tactics out of 1604 N. Ronald Reagan in Longwood, with 800-574-6127 as the contact line.  I am glad I did a simple google on "EOF Longwood FL" and found this info from this blog.  Thanks all.
