They pose as Legal Offices, called my home and used scare tactics with my daughter who answered the phone that they were sending a Sheriff over to serve papers for a civil lawsuit. Spoke to Sean at A&N who was aggressive, harassing and tried to degrade me over a small amount of credit charged off in 2004.

not everything is a scam ... i ignored phone calls of this sort assuming it was a scam ...little did i know i had a court date set that i did not attend and lost by default...now i have a civil judgement on my  record

said they were trying to reach my ex son in law James Rook who does owe lots of people money and said that they were sending out  the police to arrest him. I told them go ahead. he needs to sit in jail for all the unpaid bills.And his Sallie Mae loans I'm paying for . hope its for real.

They called me and wouldn't give me any information.  Scared the mess out of my mom and husband saying I missed a court date on a civil suit and then I asked for what and they would tell me.  He said I look look their company up online and this is what I found and long list of complaints of how they play tricks on people.

I've received calls from this company, 2X in the past few weeks, looking for my son, who does not live w/me. They say that they need to serve him w/legal documents via the Sheriff's Office & then threaten to serve me w/legal documents if I don't have my son contact them. I called them back, after the first time they called me, & asked that my ph# be removed from their file & was assured that it would be. Today's call was more threatening than the first one! This time I was told that the only way they would stop calling me was if I changed my ph#. Their tactics go beyond harassment & they are breaking the law on multiple counts. If I had a heart condition, today's call probably would have triggered a heart attack! I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission both times & would suggest that everyone do the same. What they are doing IS against the law!

Called me and said a sheriff would serve me if I did not call this 888 number within the hour. Total bs. No government agency is going to be having you call 1-888 numbers to take care of actual business.

This company is Called A&N Collections, LLC. They're doing business as  A&N Financial Firm.

The true names of the Owners of this company are Anthony Neal and Nick Alfano. They operate under aliases, as do all of their employees. Anthony Neal's alias is Jonathan Waters and Nick Alfano goes by Daniel DiRossi. Though Daniel DiRossi sometimes claims to be an attorney with A&N Financial Firm, he is not an attorney. NIck Alfano, on the other hand, is a second year law student who thinks that the 4th Amendment to US Constitution protects consumers against debt collectors.

When you receive a call instructing you to contact this number that caller is an A&N Financial Firm dialer pretending to be a process server named John Howard or Rachel Owens. Any male caller will tell you he is John Howard and any Female, Rachel Owen. When you call that number you're going to be transferred to "Claims Litigation." The person who answers in Claims Litigation is going to tell you his or her name. This is not their real name either. Nothing they tell you is the truth.

If the person you are speaking to tells you that he/she is an attorney or paralegal, don't believe them. They're just debt collectors who have had no real training. Most of them have no idea what the FDCPA says.

FACTS:
1) In most cases, They cannot sue you for this debt because it is out of stat.
2) They have no intention of filing a lawsuit against you.
3) They do not have any of the media (documentations) associated with your Debt. They don't even have the original credit agreement.


You should do the following:

1) Send them a certified letter demanding that they send you Verification of Debt.
2) Contact your State's Attorney General's Office and file a complaint.
3) Contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint.
4) Contact a Consumer Advocacy Attorney

i got a call from this company saying that they where going to send a polise officer to my house to server me some papers

Calls and respresents they are the Sheriffs Department and if i dont call back they are issuing a subpoena

has anyone tried looking them up on the better business bureau? i did and i saw they are accredited

i had a debt with them and i called in and paid it off and it was taken off my credit report and i had a boost in both my credit and FICO score.

I received a call from John Howard saying he was a process server and that the sheriffs dept was going to serve me a papers within an hour, I was being sued.  He gave me this number that he said was the law firm handling the lawsuit.  888 328 4329.   I called and was transferred to a paralegal who told me that I am being sued from a credit card company from 2003. The amount they were trying to sue me for was over 4,000.  He said they sent me a letter 45 days ago.  I told him that was over 7 years ago, and asked him about the statute of limitations..He said some clause in the original contract makes the statute invalid
I told him there was no way I could pay anything im unemployed and barely surviving now, he said if I didnt pay that they would over the next 10 yrs garnish my wages, put some type of hold on my checking savings account. They would take any tax refunds. He told me I was eligible for government assistance, he even filled out the forms and i was approved that I would only have to 650 and could pay over 12 months or if I could make a payment right away it would be 237.00 and the debt would be cleared, he even gave me 30 days. Im glad I researched this..This is terrible what they are doing I was so upset, i just got out of the hospital suffering from stress and anxiety I thought I was having a heart attack

These guys called me and said all the same things i just read here and i just checked my credit report and it isn't even on my credit report, so they got my for 207.00 and that is all they will get. I hope someone finds them and beats the crap out of them!
