Just received a call from Nicole Carter at CCR Associates 888-650-7873. She states she received a case filed at her office under the my name and social security # and wants me to call back to verify information or she will contact my place of employment!!!!!  I called BS right away- #1 she used my old last name from a marriage 7 years ago, #2 is goofed on her script #3 she sounded like she was from the hood!

Just received a voicemail  from this number 888-650-7873. Gave me the same type of scripting and  said ask for ext. 1 and the legal department. Even provided a case #. I am leary of anything like this, so I called them back and the man answering the phone said his name fast enough that I couldn't write it down. I was annoyed in the first place and he asked for the case number. Gave that to him and when I asked what this was in reference to he stated that he was just one of the secretaries and the office was shutting down for the day and I could call back tomorrow. I informed him that I am aware of past fradulent history with other companies (ie: the "indian accent" people who call from multiple phone numbers and threaten and harrass you) and that I would not be calling anyone back because I work a lot and that if he has my information and was ligit then he would be able to tell me why someone from CCR would be calling me and furthermore if  they were closing for the day... why would he answer the phone and not just let the business voicemail obtain my message. He hung up on me.... Pretty sure this is another "SCAM" and a way to steal someone's identity. Very concerned as to how these fraudulent idiots are getting our information. Maybe they should go try and make an "honest" living like the rest of us do!!

I got a call from some one that told me that there was legal issue that needs to be addressed so I need to call 888-650-7873. I called them and they said there was criminal charges, court dates, fines, and garnishments for a check they said I wrote in 2003 to some check cashing place. I didn't even have a checking account at the time. Yelling back and forth for some time and I hung up. A freind told me to google the number and I found all this fraud information. Some one needs to do something about these type of scams and scare tacticts
