Phones rings several times, and when answered, noone is there.

obviously a phishing scam  ....  PRETENDING  to be "verizon"

It's Verizon.  They're confirming recent changes to your account.  I just had this happen.  It's automated and it can't be stopped.

I called my Verizon company and asked if they were making calls like this.  I had a voice mail from the 888 number that requested I call back on a different number.  I asked Verizon to verify the call back number and they confirmed that the call back number was indeed a Verizon office.

Got the call from this # today. I wrote down the # from the caller ID and the one they wanted me to call. An automated voice that sounded like the regular Verizon voice told me that there was recent activity on my account to change my assocoated e-mail address and to press 1 to be connected to an operator. I looked up the real phone # and called Verizon who checked into their databases to confirm that there are no systems that would call like that nor can you change it without actually talking to an agent.
I gave them the #'s to check into...

I got a call from this number after i signed up for voice mail on verizons web site, they apparently were calling to confirm.

Verizon - they are legit - after i signed up for services they called to confirm.

I had a automated call claiming it was from Verizon. They ask me if I recently had changed my email Addresse and if not to press 1 on the phone.
I just want to make certain that it had been Verizon calling and that I'll not be charge for any amount on my next Phone Bill.

888-693-9507 is Verizon, I just made changes to my Fios service, and have a voicemail from them.

I've been getting calls for 2 days now from this number supposedly from Verizon.  I tried getting them to stop doing it by phone today but I had to wait so long I gave up.  Nothing happens when I press "1" when asked if I am the subscriber.  Am I doomed to receiving these calls forever now?

Received a message on the ans machine.  Stated there was a change on my Verizon Email account.
I never use it, however, I signed on and found it in fine working condition.

Waiting for the next call from this number, and I'm ready with some questions.

Called at 7:12pm but left no message.  I did make  changes to my VZ account today, but everything was confirmed both by voice and by email.
