CallerID says Oak Harbor WA number 360 914 3013.

The caller said they are Tiffany White at RG Financial Services(collection agency) and for you to call 888-704-3493 extension 3012. When you call that number or if you speak to the first caller, they tell you you have an overdue payday loan from 2008. Then they try to get you to pay this false loan. If you refuse they threaten legal action by civil injunction.

This is a scam to get a credit card number. But it was fun talking to them. When you are told by a caller you owe a debt, your first response should be prove I owe that debt and only communicate with me by mail.

I received an unknown call that I let go straight to voicemail, allegedly from Gordon, case manager at RG Financial, ext. 3019.  He said he was trying to reach some woman who is definitely Not Me, so I won't be calling him back.  I've been getting these calls for the past week.  RG appears to be a collection agency, but I've never had any delinquent accounts on My credit.  I really wish these people would check their facts, before they just start dialing people's numbers all times of the day. To those who do owe creditors, they are known to call and ask for someone else, only to try and trick you into confirming that they have the right phone number for You!  I have a friend who is trying to buy a house, and she is hounded all the time for a debt that she owned from 2000.  Her housing counselor told her specifically Not to speak to them and confirm anything, because if she's not careful, the debt could re-age an reappear on her credit report.

I received a call from Sharon Sommers at RG Financial.  Her contact info is 888-704-3493 ext. 3020.  They are saying that I failed to pay back a payday loan that I took out in 2010.  When I asked her what information she had on file, she had all my personal information.  The only incorrect information she had was the address.  It freaks me out that they have this much information.  When I told her that I wasn't going to give her my debit card information, she said that if I didn't feel comfortable with that I could always get a prepaid credit card and call her back.  I was furious at that point and hung up on her.  I called my old bank instantly and they confirmed that there were never any deposits made to my account other than my paychecks and there weren't any unusual withdrawals made to my account either (just my usual bill payments).  This Sharon Sommers said that if I refuse to settle my debt, they would garnish my wages.

I believe this is a scam as well. I have been receiving calls from Joe Haney of RG Financial. He had some old info of mine...called my job several times but left no messages. Claimed to be in Georgia but called from local Chicago numbers. Refused to send me proof that I signed loan documents with "Pack Mgmt". I reported the numbers to Consumer Protection.

Same experience yesterday! Called from a number local to a state I used to live in saying I owed for two payday loans; one in 2008 and one from 2010 to an old bank account. NOT..That account has been closed since 2007!! She was a pre-litigation company trying to give me a 'heads up' before I received a summons. Had lots of personal info but I refused to verify anything. Told her I wasn't gonna take that for something I know I didn't do. After calling my old bank to verify it never happened and doing some research I am waiting on her to call back so I can slam her! BTW, I called back the number that showed on my caller ID (501-400-0003) and it was a housing foreclosure company and the guy was flabbergasted that I had the number as an incoming call on my phone. I did a reverse look-up online and it is a VOIP number. Another BTW; the BBB shows RG Financial as a company no longer in operation so if you get another call please blast them and then tell them you are recording for legal purposes, to stop harassing or you will turn over the tape to the proper authorities.

These are some slick "sick" people, read the Fair Credit Bureau Collection Act. No Company without proper documentation can make you pay a debt you don't even own or even it you did they cannot sue you. This is unfortunately a SCAM and do NOT give out any of your information. Keep in mind if you shopped at Target, Home Depot they were breached so they have information which to me is way to much to have my name , address and last of my social tells me that this needs to get elevated to our congress officials,  as I forsee this being a growing issue by being on the "GRID" we are vulernable. As many have spoken on this topic let them know you are recording them and also let them know you are not paying anything. Note a case number is much longer than what they are posing. There are apps out there which are free to stop but I am not changing my phone number.
DO NOT FALL INTO GIVING THEM ANY INFORMATION and the BLOCK THE CALLER on your phone.

I have had the same thing happen to me I told them to send something to my email and they sent it to me but it doesn't say what bank account I used and they won't give me any proof except this letter and the women is just a witch she told me to stop calling her and that she sent it out to the judge and that they will be serving me at work or home and that I need to get a job so that I can pay my bills because I am obviously broke. They didn't have any of my information right except my home address and my cell phone number but I have never gotten anything from them no bill no notice no nothing and there saying this was done in 2010 and I checked my credit report and nothing is on there either.

I was contacted by the same company, was told the same old thing.  I contacted the State Attorney General who had me fill out a complaint letter.  They stated that this was a scam.  They forwarded the complaint to the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Protection .  I was advised to ignore the phone calls.
