I have been receiving daily calls from someone at Johnson York (different name is inserted each time) saying I will be served with papers at my residence or place of employment about a "bad check".

Angela and Patty keep calling my place of business telling me that I wrote a bad check for a payroll advance in September.  NEVER HAPPENED.  There are threating me with a process server and that I owe now 950.00.  This is not true.  They would not provide any information for the supposed debt owed.

they dont even call me they callpeople I contract to and my employees and make threats about serving me.  Here I am serve away

Threatened to come to my place of employment to serve a summons for a bad check for $700.  Only way to stop this is to pay the $700 immediately over the phone.  Supposedly for something to do with a payday loan.  I've had payday loans in the past and paid them in full.  This is not the first phone call I've received of this type.  Apparently having payday loans gets us on some kind of list.  They had my employer's name and email address.

If they are threatening you over payday loan, claiming check fraud, bank fraud, internet fraud. THEY ARE DEBT COLLECTORS! Your old loan was sold, THEY HAVE NO LEGALLY COURSE OF ACTION. So people tell them to get lost, you never have to pay this and there is NOTHING they can do. Oh, they will mark it for sale and sell it to another company. Believe me what they do and say is nothing but illegal.

It is a SCAM! This is the second time these scammers have left messages on our machine. They say that you have a bad check from a payday loan 6 years ago and they are trying to collect on it before the statute of limitations runs out. They will not give you any verification as far as a signed loan document. They say to check your bank acct records to see when the money was direct deposited into your account. Little did they know that I have the paper copies with images of all of my bank statements since 2001. There was no deposit matching the amount they claim to be collecting on. When I called them back, I was unable to reach them to tell them what horrible people they are.  DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!

When Johnson York called, (after being through the first scam) I told her that I knew it was a scam and I wanted our name taken off their list. She told me that it wasnt a scam and when I argued with her, she yelled at me, "PAY YOUR BILLS!" Click.

We have never had a payday loan. I think they get your info from the internet via loan aps or other phishing schemes.

Me too automated voice message. Turned the recorded call over to the local PD and my attorney and Attorney General's Office in my state. Total scammers threatening  to harass. If we track them down they are going to be sued big time for each harassing phone call and threatening statements made.
Don't give them a dime. Process Servers don't call to meet you somewhere.

I got a call today from Frank Hall claiming he had papers to serve me as well. I've never had  a payday loan of any kind.  I have some debts that I am paying on.  Is this real or is it a scam?

Same thing here. Dont give them any info over the phone. If they ask you your personal info, birthdate etc, tell them youre not giving out that info. This is another company try to collect on a payday loan that i paid back to another company last year. They are trying to collect again...these people are crooks
