yes. we got a call too. in Quebec. he spoke french but with in accent. wanted to talk to a Jack..... very loud and rude.

They generally seek info on your credit card / debit machines such as the make/model/number.  Do not give out any information.  Simply state at beginning of call - remove us from your call list and hang up.   Ten to one they will have hung up on you first!

Also received a call in New Brunswick.  After I told her(politely)  we were looked after as far as the debit machine and service charges I hung.  She called back!!! Told me she wasn't selling anything and asked to speak with the owner I said I am the comptroller he will only refer you back to me. She got very rude and ended up telling me to have a nice day (sarcastically) and hung up.  LOL

They stopped for a while after they - being on my blocked caller list - get right away disconnected.
Now they call again. Maybe they don't like the fact that I pay my credit card bill every month. lol.
Stupids. PUT THEM ON YOUR BLOCKED CALLER LIST!!!!

When I get these annoying, wasting my time, aggressive "phone solicitors". I simply tell them I need to put them on hold. Then I do...permanently. So far they have called back 5 times. Persistent buggers! Just keep answering..see that its them and put them back on hold. You waste my time, I'll waste yours. Tired of these people. But it's a fun game to play!

Got a call today from them and te guy says um hello it's like talking to a wall. Who says stuff like that when you call someone, on a side note I was cleaning and didn't really care for him. Rude I tell you. When I tried to call back it went to a fax machine. Bunch of idiots. I live in Toronto.

888-773-4470 keeps calling in Canada/Westcoast. Number is already blocked for a long time. They still keep calling. There is only a fax machine when you try to find out who it is.

Same here in Beloeil, Québec. The person hang up right away when I answer. Append maybe 10 time since the end of October. You call back and it`s a fax machine.

The woman who called me was rude as could be...simply asked her to repeat the name of the business she was calling from.
She got pretty uppity.  Any legit business that would be asked to simply repeat the name of their business would be happy to do so.
So, I have no idea what she wanted past insisting on speaking to the owner and being plenty ticked for being asked a question so that I could direct her call. It appears to be a payment processing company.  With the attitude and rudeness I doubt we'd want to 'work with them'.

I have an UNLISTED, PRIVATE phone and give very rarely my number out. They are blocked now for 2 years, but still call. It means, they get disconnected as soon as they dial the number, but keep calling... All these bobble-heads and their 'professional' employees.
