Caller spoke to me about a 'deal' on Allstate insurance which i just switched to. Said the call would be recorded for quality assurance and then proceeded to tell me I could get free roadside insurance for a month which would cover tire replacement for the firs month and $13/mo after that.  They didn't ask if it was a service I was interested in, just went on to ask for an email address, said my info on file was ohio when i live in iowa, asked for a debit card or credit card to get on file so they could start my free month.  they were going to send me information to review for the first month to see if I wanted it and I could cancel at any time.  I said I didn't want to give out my email, and that I didn't want to sign up yet and asked to have them send the information first then I'd call back if I wanted the insurance.  They said that's ok and they understood, goodbye.  I'm pretty sure it was a scam to get my information and steal my money or identity.

They sounded very suspicious, I'm going to check with All-state later to make sure it wasn't them... I forgot to get a name.

I recently signed up the contract with Allstate and i've got the call from this number today.. I did not pick up the phone.

I got a call from this number today 01/24/2011. I didn't picked it.

I received a call from them yesterday and today (1/28/2011). I did not pick up the second time but during the first phone call, it was some stupid telemarketer. Just don't pick up the 1-888 numbers.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone today.  I did not answer and there was no message.  I looked it up and found results saying the caller is from AllState.  I do have AllState Insurance and have been getting calls from them daily, which I do not answer, except for the first time, when the guy tried to offer me an upgrade to my policy for free roadside assistant and some other things.  He asked for my credit card number and I refused.  He calls back every day and does not leave a message.  Right after I got a call from this other number today, which also left no message, I got another call from a different 888 number which did leave a message saying it was AllState and to call them back, but did not say why.

The caller did not leave any information. Come up as a toll free number. All the calling make you angry,but please do not answer or give out your information!

Caller from Allstate selling coverage similar to AAA.  The beginning they tell you this call is being recorded.  Makes me think twice about being an Allstate customer... I'll bet the other companys don't call their "valued" customers!

I've been receiving at least one call a day from one of these numbers that are for Allstate roadside assistance (according to this Google service).  I can block 12, but they're going to out run my ability to block them. I called Allstate and got transfered to an "affiliate" company. That spokesperson  took down my name, address, and phone number as if he were writing them on a tablet. I had to spell every word and repeat often because English did not seem to be within the speakers grasp. Then he told me I shouldn't be receiving calls after 30 DAYS!  I think Allstate can give its customers better service than letting their "affiliate" hound them.

This number just called me and I answered it. Then it hung up on me. It calls me about once every mouth. I just looked it up on google and this is what I found. I do have Allstate. I did however call back the number to try to get taken off the list and the only thing they had was and answering machine that said it was Allstate, so I just let the answering machine run out and then hung up. lol

I got a call from this number. I did not pick it up. They did not leave a message.

For the past 3 or more months I have been finding this number on my id- it's at about 10 in the morning and consistent- call duration is for 2 seconds and no message. I have had Allstate towing in the past and they have snail mailed me 'bills' for towing insurance trying to lure me back in.

Thanks to the posters about this number now I can quit wondering..

They are counting on the recent development from  Allstate, with the FREE roadside assistance membership.  Don't fall for their speil.  There is no charge for the membership, just the cost of whatever you have done (tow, tire, battery, ets.)  Unfortunately, there will be folks who fall for it and give out their information.

I have been getting phone calls from 1-888-798-9006 and 1-888-798-9020 so far.  Each has been traced to a Allstate "affiliate" company.  I'm guessing that the entire 1-888-798-9xxx phone bank is owned or operated by a Allstate "affiliate" company that calls each 'victim' at around 10 a.m. every day.  This truly must stop.  I am a shift worker and need my morning sleep.  I cannot be continuously bothered by nag calls from my insurance company.  If this continues on much longer I will be forced to go down to my local Allstate office and HURT SOMEONE VERY BADLY UNTIL THEY UNDERSTAND WHERE I'M COMING FROM.  DO YOU GET IT YET, JARHEADS?  Please stop before I have to maim someone in the name of Allstate insurance.  Thanks.
