- t'd offthis number (888) 822-0335 keeps calling me and not leaving a message it's making me nuts because I'm afraid to call it back. you never know when it's going to be linked to some phone charge scam.
- Jennie golaniwho is this person that keeps calling?
- Caller: there was no message left
- cb| 1 replyI received a call from 888-822-0335. I did not answer as I assumed it was a telemarketer. I've read on another site that people think it might be David's Bridal or After Hours Formal Wear. I think Tux (used to be After Hours?) and David's Bridal have my #, but I'm definitely looking into it. They didn't leave a message.
- Leo McQuillan888-822-0335 keeps calling and hanging up before I answer.
Alot of times they don't say any thing for a while and then they hang up. - ayoung| 1 replyI have received dozens of phone calls from this number over the past 3 weeks. Today I decided to call the number back and it is MW Tux, a division of Men's Warehouse. I am now certain that this is related to the fact that I registered with David's Bridal a month ago. Is there anyway to make sure that they don't call back?
- Caller: MW Tux
- AnnaMW Tux - verified (i called it back)
- AshleyYeah. TUX is trying to call you and get anappointment set up for a fitting. Sometimes thier system is off and they will call even after youv'e gone. Just call them back a let them know and they will stop calling you.
- JerilynI didn't recognize the number as well. I called it back and found out that it is MW TUX. After a few minutes, a girl picked up and I requested her to take me off their calling list and that I would deal locally, not on the phone. She was pushy and asked if my husband will be wearing a tux in our wedding. I said ABSOLUTELY he will be but we have a year to plan and when we're ready, we'll go to the local store. She said that they provide specials discounts over the phone that you can't get in the store. BLAH BLAH BLAH. I told her that when we're ready, I'll go back in and give them our number again if I REALLY NEED the discount. If they can't give me a good deal IN STORE, then they don't deserve our business. Also, this only took 5 days for them to start calling. The service and the dresses sucked (quality-wise) and they hire anyone to be a sales person. GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS ON YOU ENGAGEMENT AND UP COMING WEDDING! Just wait 'til after the wedding, they'll still call us and ask if we're divorced yet so we can remarry. HAHAHA
- Caller: MW TUX - Part of David's Bridal
- KaseyI was called by this number, a guy from David's Bridal. I didn't understand half of what he said!
- Caller: MW Tux
- Babara JeanUnfortunately, when you visit a store like David's Bridal, you go through a registration process. In the fine print it states they can market your information to other business. When you sign this form (which you must sign in order to browse the collection of dresses) you waive your right to privacy. According to Federal Law 1(5 U.S.C. §§ 41-58) they may contact you for up to 180 days (6 months) after you sign the form. If you purchase a dress they may contact you "with or without" your permission for (2) two years.
The National Do Not Call List doesn't apply when either of those scenarios are presented.
I am sure most businesses will abide by your wishes, although legally they do not have to. I would simply ask them to take you off their phone bank list. You may need to do some research and follow up with a letter to David's Bridal or MW Tux.
Good Luck, and Congrats on your engagement.- Caller: MW TUX
- Annoyed!its plain annoying. i dont answer numbers i dont know. they have called me every other day for the past 2 weeks. i dont even know how they got my number! i'm not even engaged!
- MichelleThis is very helpful. I have received a call from this number almost daily for 3 weeks. They never leave a message so I haven't answered. I went to a bridal show a few weeks ago and filled out a form from TUX. I will definitely NOT use them now because of these calls. They may want to rethink their strategy.
- Military Bridethey've only called me a few times since I purchased my dress at David's this last time when they called I answered it and it was from TUX wanting to know about renting. I told them that my soon to be husband will be wearing his dress uniform as he is in the military, the guy went on to ask if anyone would be needing to rent and I told him no as all his ushers and his best man are also in the military, I'm hoping this will stop them from calling.
- Chrisi've had quite a few from these [***] too!
- UGH!Why is david's bridal distributing information to MW Tux?
I went to try on a bridesmaid dress (oh, fun) - even though I hate david's bridal - about 2 weeks ago and I just got my first call. Thankfully, they did leave a message. I called right back and asked to be put on the do not call list. Hopefully it works! - TeenaI told them the wedding has been cancelled and they said they would put me on the do not call list..haven't recieved a call for a week...**fingers crossed**
- Caller: MW Tux
- David's Bridal....David's Bridal in Sioux City Iowa sold my number which is on the DO NOT CALL LIST.
- Caller: David's Bridal
- GaviYesterday I got a called from a guy stating he was calling me form Men's Warehouse, telling me that I won a Tuxedo contest (wich i never signed in to), he even new my wedding date!...I could really understand what he was saying so he said he'll send me an email, obviously never did. The call was very fishy from the beggining.
- betsyCall them back once and hit 1 on your phone-- you'll be added to the do not call list. Simple as that.
- Caller: Bridal/ MW
- JackWork around for these types of "we need your phone number" deals. Get a google voice number and you can block it from ever calling again.
