said they were with windows trying to track someone stealing my identity, gave me a serial number that doesn't match with any windows serial numbers, when I started questioning him I "lost" the connection.  Called number back and it had a message that said it was "Telenet a physician call center and the number you have called is not working."  it then told me I could call their customer service at 800-420-4695.  Of course this is a way for them to get into your computer by following their directions to go to a certain website which installs a trojan to hijack your computer.  I install and service computers and network systems, so I am pretty well versed on how these scams work, besides the phone number they called me on has never been associated to register windows on any of my computers.

A man who could hardly speak a lick of English called me today from this number. First by asking if he was speaking to the person who owed the computer. I said yes. He said I'm calling to inform you of a virus to your windows may I please assist you. I told him no that I had a computer technician that could be of assistance and that I had a virus protector and that I did not want him nor his company calling me back trying to scam me. As I hung up the phone I could hear him saying this not a scam, this not a scam. CLICK!

Called after 11pm. No reply to my hellos. Told them not to call this late at night and to take my number off their list. It sounds like the same scam out of India or Pakistan that has been active over a year, now. They just keep changing phone numbers. Why doesn't Microsoft go after these people. This is negative advertising for their windows product.  I'm sure they have the tracking technology.

Called after 10:30 at night and kept insisting he was with windows wanting to fix my computer.  Yelled at him and told him he was calling at 10:30 at night! He kept saying that's why he was calling me and it was an urgent call.   Finally I got my senses enough to hang up!
