Calling my cell phone relentlessly.

It's driving me crazy.  When I call them, they want date of birth.

I don't even know who they are, I'm certainly not going to give them

my DOB.

Unsure why this number is calling my cell phone.  5 times in one afternoon.

I got a call from these people. There name is general revenue corporation. They called to help me my past due student loans. They helped me put them in a forbearance. They were hired by kaplan to help students with there student loans. They did not request any money. What are they going do with your date of birth anyway thousands of people have the same one.

Just spoke with Kaplan and they said they do not work with this company. Advised me not to give them any information at all.

Asked to get info in writing, man on phone refused-- got to be b/s.

This is not a scam. I submitted a forbearance before and it was a courtesy call to let me know that the information was sent to the lender and I should be receiving something in the mail within the next few days. They asked for my birthdate but nothing else and already had my address and obviously phone number. Did not ask for SSN or anything, no idea why people think this is a scam. Maybe if you did not go to college don't call back, but I called back after reading this and it was the most harmless phone call ever.

I would check my bank account - the day after the calls started, so did the charges.  They linked it to an online purchase.

Just got my first call from these number. I was in the shower so didn't answer. The voice mail was automated just said "Call me 888-843-9002". Of course instead of calling back I looked up the net to see what it was for since their message was extremely vague. I'm not calling that number back not after reading the comments. I'm not late on my student loan payments so they have no reason to contact me. I think it's a scam to confirm the phone number for kraplan so they can continue to harass me for withdrawing from their computers program.

I never went to Kaplan, and the student loans I have with the school I did attend are up to date.  This is certainly some kind of scam operation.  Do not accept any calls from these people and do not give them any of your personal information.  Once they have your DOB,that's one step away from getting access to a whole lot of information about you via back doors in various systems.

Just got a call from this number and called them back. They explained that they are a third party consulting firm hired by my college (in my case it was The Art Institute). They were calling to inform me of my student loan repayment dates and to explain to me a bunch of stuff I already knew. (Ai makes all their grads go through an exit seminar before they can officially graduate). Seemed legit, but I can understanding how it would be annoying.

I just received a call from this number. The caller did not say anything, but did allot of heavy breathing. I called the number back and learned it was General Revenue Corporation.

They called and it was a wrong number, they were extremely rude and when they asked why I asked what kind of company they were I said because they kept calling my home.  She told me it was none of my business why they were calling.  They are calling my home, wrong number or not, when I say it is a wrong # and you keep calling you make it my business.

they also asked if I knew the person, could get them info and their bday.  Like I would say if I did.  Also I have an account myself with Kaplan and my college both says they don't know the company, dont trust them!

Called me multiple times in the space of a few hours without leaving a message. I too attended the Art Institute and even if this company is legit, their practices are incredibly unprofessional.

I guess I'll have to answer next time just to tell them to take a hike...

I've been receiving calls from this number telling me that i owe some clinic 580 dollars. The guy had a really bad attitude so when i asked why  i owed that money he said that was confidential info.. LOL which its stupid cuz if they want me to pay i sure need to know what it is for. Anyways i sent him to hell and called the clinic i went to and they don't know anything about it.

This number called me at 7 PM. I also went to AI. I havent asked for any sort for any assistance with my loans, so there is no reason for anyone to call me. They left no message---> sounds like horse sh*t

Got a call AGAIN after months of not getting called. Operator demanded I fax them a DNC letter. Don't bother picking up the phone.

@TW:  I also attend Kaplan University and this GRC JUST called my home!  I JUST finished my BA degree and I'm going back for my Master's.  I will email Kaplan, but I believe you that they do not work with this company!

Got home with a message that General Revenue Corporation had some important business information for me and that they work with Ashford University, who I just earned my MBA in March of 09. They wanted my DOB, I refused and they demanded I give it to them or they would not tell me the nature of the call.

I called Asford and they indicate they are not in any relationship with GRC and said it was "probably phoney".

My guess is they got my name off a student loan list and are trying to offer me some repayment plan, where they get a percentage of the collected money, as they are a collection agency. Problem is, I am current with all my bills. https://www.generalrevenue.com/aboutus.htm

I just got a call from these weridos. They told me it was just a freindly reminder call.. if i were need any help with paying my school loan from everest college.I told him i'm already paying it and on time. The guys name was greg. They sounded phoney to me....
