got a call from this number.... no debt but don't know why they are calling.... seems to be some collection company

Some person named Bilianna keeps calling our number and asking for our daughter's personal data.  Won't tell us what this is about.  Second time already.  Internet Lookup showed some connection (?) to Capital One, a company which attempted to scam our daughter for $5000--even though she never used this account.  Required several lawyers and over a year to get them to admit she owed no money to them!!!

This Common Collections, an agency collecting in my case for Amex. They will continue to call 3-5 times a day between 8am - 8pm, for at least 6 months before they will be forced to write the debt off. So better deal with them, or change your number to something unlisted.

I've dealt with Teresa Bilanna (or whatever her last name is) myself... she's pretty bad, but so is her supervisor.  She's working on CIBC accounts last I heard.  Some of her coworkers are slightly more reasonable, but I really don't see any reason to work with these [***].  Watch out for dirty tricks.  These guys ARE an actual collection agency as far as I can tell... they do at least have info on CIBC accounts, which means that when they don't feel like playing by the rules, they have enough info to do some damage.  Keep an eye on your bank transactions.

this collection agency calls regularly for a guy who has the same last name and used to live in our city ( no relation at all, never met him ), we have an uncommon name so they hassle me cuz they don't know what hole he's hiding in. rude. i leave the same message with them everytime and they either don't get it or don't believe it.

hey yeah money has been going missing from my bank i have paid bills and the companys said they never recieved the money they say because its paid in cash they cant trace it. any truth to that? also i have changed my number to unlisted but they still get the number and call me.

I am so fed up with these phones calls so early in the a.m. and I am jumping mad.  When someone calls me so early I think about my family being in an accident etc.  I am on  the no phone list!!!!!  I am just waiting for Marketplace to have their program regarding such harrassment on TV .  LEAVE ME ALONE.

8888518699 ext246 - lady named Michelle - left urgent message about my property - had information re my tax roll number - went online to see that phone # was a collection agency - I owe no one so have not answered their call.

Bottom-wrung collection agency, buying up noncollectable debts from various creditors in the hopes you'll be spooked enough to pay.  If you're legally passed the statute of limitations for your province and relating to the type of debt they're after, then don't admit to your identity to them, or the debt -- otherwise, the statue of limitations resets to ZERO and you're now on the hook again.  Ignore them, there's nothing that can be done.
