Got a call from this number to my work desk phone.  Of course the creeps to couldn't even leave a message.  I have read other posts that this is Verizon.

So disappointed with automated calls from "Verizon".  They say they are trying to provide good customer service to you by making sure you are on the best plan.  How about having an actual person call me if you are so concerned about me as a customer?  I was already planning to leave when my contract expires in March.  Thanks for giving me the extra push I needed to check into the other companies.  Treat me as a customer or I will leave your company - done.

I missed a call from this number and when I called back, the automated machine picked up and said "thank you for calling Verizon." I'm not a customer of theirs, nor have I ever been. Weird that they are contacting me. I just hope this was a one time occurance.

I've been getting calls from this number and it says it starts off with a long pause, then saying it's Verizon's marketing number and they are calling about my data plan...I can press 1 to opt out.  After getting a million calls, I called Verizon and told them I was upset about the volume of calls, to which they replied, they don't do that...so they put a block on my phone for "marketing calls" from anyone.  Still getting this call.  But just a thought, it might not actually be Verizon.

I am tired of getting these 888 #'s! I keep my grand children & every day when I am getting one to sleep I get a call from this # 888-871-0778!!! I don't want any telemarketers or survey calls...I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THEM!!!!

Why dont people have caller ID?

They have caller ID blocked for this number so we can only see the number that is calling and not something like "Verizon Marketing".

They are verizon... from a verizon marketing team.

You have to call verizon and tell them to stop calling.

The normal do not call registry does not work on them, because they are 'simply servicing the account.'

Dumping Verizon as soon as my contract runs out... for reasons like this and many others.

I don't think they're Verizon, but I'm not sure.  I think they're fishing for information.  Be careful, everyone.  I am on the DO NOT CALL list and they've called me a couple times a day, about every other day, for a month now.

This is Verizon Marketing.  When you call it back, you're thanked (by an automated answering system) "for your interest in Verizon Wireless" and then transferred to a sales rep. They'll ask for your phone #, and at that time you can insist on being removed from the call list.

Never-the-less....I'm dumping Verizon as well as soon as my contract is up.  I switched from AT&T and now know Verizon is worse in many ways, ONE being more expensive!  Who else does iPhones?

It's not Verizon. I've talked to Verizon about this number, and it's not Verizon's policy to make calls like this nor do they use third-parties. They have blocked the number for me.

Answered the phone but no one there. Called the # and the machine says it is Verizon wireless marketing. I have Verizon wireless but I think this is pretty low sales person salesmanship.

They claim to be from Verizon seeking to see if I am on the best plan.  But, they didn't have ANY information about me or my plan other than my name.  It sounds like they are not really with Verizon.

These people called me 31 times in 6 weeks. They said they are with Verizon, I told them not to call anymore and reported all the calls to the complaint section on Do Not Call.gov They stopped for about 3 months and now have started calling regularly again.

I've been getting calls daily from this number on my cellphone. There's no useful caller id info and they don't leave a message. My conclusion: spam.

I have been getting this call for a few days. I'm not a Verizon customer. I have T Mobile Pay as you Go. Not Verizon. Every time I go to the mall they are trying to get me to change to their service.    When I tell them if they can match the deal that I have now I would think about. Things change when I tell them I paid $10. They think a month but that is for the year.

This number has called me almost every day for over a year. I have registered complaints many times at DNC, and the calls stop for a while. I have talked to the callers and asked them not to call, and they stop for a while. They always start up again. They told me they are Verizon wireless, but they call my ATT landline. I finally just blocked them, but they still call everyday and the phone still rings once before it is blocked. So annoying. So much for DNC and other gov't agencies that are wasteful and absolutely useless.

I get calls from this number stating they are Verizon Wireless and want to check what plans I have. Maybe I would consider something else. I tell I am satisfied with what I have-wish them a good day and then I hang up. Recognizing this number I no longer  answer. Like all of you -- I am weary of all the spams, scams, hacks, idiots, and nutjobs.
