I received a charge on my CC bill for $9.75 with this phone number referenced and the name "Sigma".    The transaction type was NOT available.  The Merchant Category was "Stationary, Office Supplies and Printing".  When I Googled the company it did not exist.  I have disputed it with my CC co.  When you call the number it is a mailbox to leave a message.  I left one this morning and one this afternoon and have not received a response.

had a fraudulent charge for $9.65 on my MasterCard from a company called Sigma using this phone number.  Problem is my card has a zero balance so the charge stood out!  called my bank, cancelled the card and they removed the charge after I filed a Fradulent use report.  Never had anyone call my phone from this number before the charge either!

I have a $9.75 charge on my bank account with the only information being SIGMA OH with the phone number 888-882-6394.  Every time I call, no matter what time of day, I get a recording telling me to leave my name and phone number.  Anyone know what the deal is with these people?

Beware of any charge posted on your credit card statement from SIGMA 8888826394 OH.  I do not know them and they charged me $9.70.  From researching them online, many people have received charges for around $9+ and if all their victims pay this amount, this can become a sizeable revenue for them.

Since no receipt matched, I Googled the number and found multiple consumer sites stating that the charge is fraud and to dispute it. How on earth did they get his cc number and how are they able to just charge away like this. Filled out a fraud report for reimbursement.

I keep getting calls from these folks several times a day - everyday. Today, a message was left at 7:18PM for me call 1 ext. 223.

A man with an accent called me from this number requesting to speak with someone who doesn't even live in my home. When I told him that person does not live here he then proceeded to ask me questions about how long I have had my phone number, who is it listed to, etc. This person/company should be reported to the National Do Not Call Registry. I have already done so, but others should also complain!!

Ok, this guy has now called my number 3 days in a row. I have told him over and over that the person he is looking for is not at this number..and asked him to quit calling. Then he started naming off MY neighbors!! And one of them has been dead for 3 yrs..how are they getting this info?? I plan on contacting The Better Buisness Bureau tomorrow.

I as well just received a charge on my visa for $9.75 from "SIGMA." I'm not sure exactly what this is, but according to all these other "victims" it seems to be a scam. I do not know how they got to my VISA account, but now I have to go through the process of a dispute.

Same here. I suddenly received a transaction of $9.7 with SIGMA. I called up my bank and disputed the same and they reverted back transaction (yet to see the reversal though). Not sure from where on earth these ppl get our CC information. Please, do keep an eye on your card statements. Possible change the card. Try to reduce number of cards too - if they can do it one of your cards they may very well have the other CC information too. Damn where is privacy?

I just checked my statement and found the $9.65 charge also.  I'm so glad I googled the phone # (the company name didn't work) and found this site.  I emailed it to my bank.  I had to cancel my card since it's been compromised.  I started going through my past purchases and I'm wondering if it has something to do with pay pal.  I just recently started using it with this account and now this happens!  I use my card for everything and I have never had this happen.  The pay pal thing was within the last month.

I just checked my banking online to find a charge for $9.65 from a company called SIGMA OH with nothing but a phone number 888-882-6394 with an automated message to leave a name and number, but nobody ever calls back.  This is a scam... but worse yet, it's outright theft!!!  I purposely don't give ANYONE permission to access my accounts for just such a reason.  I don't know how this company accessed my card number, but I assure you guys who thought it was T.J.Maxx, I haven't gone there for a long while... I don't think it's T.J.Maxx.  Anyone out there who has had this happen needs to contact your bank and have them fight the charges.  Fortunately for me, I use a bank who reverses the charges first, and then asks questions later.  I've cancelled my card and have had another one issued, but this is something that's only going to get worse as our society continues to lose any values or morals we may have had.  These people prey on those who don't keep a close watch on their finances... they figure that nobody will notice less than $10.00 getting charged.  I also understand that if you don't catch the first time they attack you, they try a second time for more money, as much as $250.00!!!  Keep a close eye on your accounts!!!  All of them!!!  All the time!!!  I'm also curious, is this something that is happening in a certain area, or is this nationwide.  My attack happened in Florida.  Where are other attacks happening?

Just to let everyone know, I also do NOT use Pay Pal, so it can't be coming from there either.

I just got the $9.75 charge on my debit card this weekend. They put the charge through late on Saturday when most people wouldn't be checking their account. Also, if it's on your debit card you'll most likely have to wait till Tuesday for the charge to post in a form that the bank can do anything. I put a freeze on my account right away and I'm being issued a new card today. I'm in PA so I don't think it's state specific.

These dudes are crooks.  By charging some number below $10.00 to random credit cards, they figure enough folks will not notice to allow them a nice profit.  I wonder if some organization within the government pursues creeps like this. My credit card company while very nice in issuing me a new card were completely clueless regarding this scam.
