Received call on answer machine from "Olin" with Great Vacations at 888-886-3606 on July 3, 2009 around 2 pm ET. He was offering a no-obligations vacation package at various locations. Sounds like a total scam.

I got 6 calls from these idiots on my cell phone, from an outbound only number. I had to listen to a long message to finally get to a call back number. When I called to complain and tell them I was on the do-not-call list, the woman who answered started screaming in my ear, and then laughing. Then she hung up on me.

Olin from Great Vacations called with no obligation except sit through 90 minute presentation.  Could be legitimate like a Vegas TimeShare, however I can not find any business information that makes me comfortable.  I googled both phone numbers 888-886-3606 and 813-884-0600 (florida).  I found several businesses that are listed by the respective secretary of states as 'inactive'.  Websites used: www.sunbiz.org and oklahoma secretary of state both corporation searches.  Also used Corporation Wiki which shows interrelated parties.  Very suspicious findings.  

I was told that the company was International Vacation Services, Inc., however it is inactive.  Great Vacations same thing.  Diamond Vacations did not exist and  Proven Results Direct Marketing is inactive.  Most have been suspended for tax reasons, etc, so it appears they keep changing their name.  Hard to tell what is going on.

This company is a scam..They only stay in places for a short amount of time because they are called road shows.They are located in Tampa, Fl

this Olin Great Vacation keeps calling me even though I'm on do-not-call list. They hid their phone number and thus appeared as unknown. what a bother

I got that untraceable call today, the voice claiming to be "Olin" from "Great Vacations", a "travel agency" that "just opened" a new location in nearby Huntington, West Virginia; and they're "celebrating" with an "open house" and a fabulous "vacation giveaway"; went on to claim "you have been selected to receive" this vacation giveaway, "no obligation, nothing to join or sign"; went on, offering either 3 days and 2 nights for you and a significant other to any city of your choice in the USA, or 8 days/7 nights at certain specific high-traffic resorts ('mentioned Las Vegas, Daytona Beach and many others) for a family of up to 5, including children. Yeah, RIGHT ...definitely some scam -- beware!

"Olin" called my home phone yesterday offering the Great Vacation 3 day get away.   I'm on the DNC registry.  Big Deal!  Another totally ineffective government program!

Olin should quit robo calling and do the Veggie Matic or OxyClean TV commercials.  I am sure the pay is much better!

Call to my cell phone (From Chattanooga area but now located in Florida) from Olin of Great Vacations.  Same message as to my home in Florida but phone is "Private".  I wish someone one start a class-action against this company.

I receive calls from "Olin from great vacations" entirely too often.  If they were so great they wouldn't have to keep calling my cell phone and leaving annoying messages.  My cell is my personal form of communication and should not be called unless permission was given.  The person receiving the call should also have the option to return the call and ask that the calls be stopped.  Otherwise it is harrassment.  This is the number one way to ensure that I will never buy or have any type of dealing with this company except to testify against them in a court of law.

I find it funny that just last night I voted on dancing with the stars via telephone, not text and now all of a sudden I get this call from our friend Olin.  After reading all of these messages, I i wonder if that's how this company got all of our numbers?  Any of you voted on Dancing with the Stars??

I just got a call/voicemail from Mr. Olin myself from Great Vacations who just opened up a new travel agency in the Moline, IL/Davenport, IA area.  Offering the same, no obligation, vacation package get away of my choice.  I looked up a new travel agency by that name in that area and found nothing.  I looked up "Great Vacations Travel Agency" and found such a place out of Jaimaca.  This is nothing but a scam as you can see from other posts.  I hope people aren't falling for this crap.

I called and once they started to explain the packages, and I found out you have to pay taxes on the trip and "every trip has different taxes" you also have to have a credit card to qualify. Why a credit card and not a debit card? The women said without a credit card you can not participate. This is a scam. After i said no thank you the woman laughed and hung up on me. I called back to have my number removed from their system they would pick up the phone and hang up again. I guess customer service doesnt matter....just money they will steal from you. People are so evil these days. Be careful guys

Olin has now started in on the Olive Branch, MS area...whats the purpose of being on the do-not call list...seems more like the DO- NOTHING list....

I got a recorded message today and the caller ID said "outside caller".  After listening to a long message about vacation destinations, the guy finally gave the call back number 888-886-3606.  I thought he said his name was William, but I guess it could have been Olin.  I am on the Federal do-not-call list, so I reported it.

You'll find Great Vacations on www.sunbiz. gov listed under the "fictitious name" corporate filings. The name was filed in 1998, and expired in 2003. Filed by Paul Bratton of Boynton Beach, FL. His phone number is listed on the corporate document along with his name as "owner." The phone number, of course  is not an 888 telemarket number. I'm tempted to call, but haven't decided...

I just received my second "robo-call" this week from "William" at "Great Vacations".  The message said they were now serving to St. Augustine/Palm Coast Florida area.  The first time they called, I stayed on the line till the end of the message.  I intended to tell them I was on both the Florida and Federal "Do Not Call" lists, but no agent was immediately available to take my message.  They were all "busy" talking to other suckers -- can you imagine -- not having enough agents to rip off all the suckers?!?!  How can these folks be stopped?

This Olin Great Vacations kept calling my cell number first. It took 3 calls ending with a threat to get them to quit. Now they're calling my home phone. Call #2 came in yesterday 10-08-2011. So I'll call them again and ask them nicely to knock it off. If they call a 3rd time like they did on my cell, then I'll tell them I'm reporting them.

Just got the call today from "William" in the "Fort Lauderdale/Miami" area. Same schtick. Glad I found this list and won't waste my time calling back.

Sorry - the name of the company, after a hesitant pause - guess he had to remember which name to use, was "Vacation Services"
