They call continually, they try all different numbers at all different times.

I received a call from 888-895-8703 on or around 4/26/2010 claiming they were from Mark Johnson CCF & Associates. I was informed that it was imperative that I or my attorney return their call within 48 hours or legal action would be certain. They mentioned to call (888)-895-8703 Ext 701 and give them the case number they left with their phone message... I called several times, leaving one message that I didn't know what the hell they wanted with me, that I owe no one and have done nothing illegal... I continued to call until I spoke with a woman at extension 701, I guess the male at this extension was away... I can't remember the name... Anyway, she asked for the case number, then shortly after, if my last 4 SSN was XXXX, I said no it's XXXX. She asked if I had a son and if there was a junior.. I said no. She also mentioned that I didn't sound like I was born in 19XX and I said no I wasn't... She mentioned that my number was given to them as a person for contact... She said they would remove me from their call list... She didn't tell me anything that would seem scandalous but I still hope I wasn't played. It's only been a few days but I haven't heard from them... Hopefully that's the last of them...

I received a call from407-134-5678 stating that a civil law suit was against me and I had to call 1-888-895-8703
I called that number and they asked for personal info...I gave them my last 4 digits of my SS number.  This is a scam of some sort...I check with the clerk of court and there is nothing against me...but when I finally got through to them a second time....I started asking Sarah what the name of her company was and she stated Stone Whitman & Associates....well no such name exists...

I received a call from 321 168 4577 saying they are Stone, Whitman, and Associates and a serious legal problem is pending against me and that I am suppose to follow their instructions when a Terrorist Jim The Tormentor who deals in body implants cut off phone call. Internet look up yielded this.i called the 888 895 8703 and put on hold saying I will be transferred to next agent.

I have received 2 calls saying there is legal action pending against a person from my household.  Before passing on the info to this person I called the number given to me and when someone did answer I gave the name of the person they originally called but a fictitious SS #, when she said that number didn't match the one they had I played dumb and finally she said they would take my number off their call list.

Our daughter was called, by Stone, Whitman and Associates, looking for my husband, and told he needed to call in the next 2 hours or legal action would be taken! When he called, they asked for the case number, which he gave, but he balked at giving his full name and social since they were the ones trying to contact, so he was hung up on and the system continued to hang up on him 5 separate times when he tried to call back from the same phone. Started researching on the Internet and found this as the ONLY thing referencing said firm!

Someone called a family member in another state looking for me and also somehow has been calling my cell phone.  The numbers that have been showing up on my phone is 3031647558 and also 8888958703.  When they called my family they said they were looking to deliver papers to me and they left a case number with her and said they were calling from Stone Whittman and Assoc. They also left the 888 number as a call back.  I called back and the phone number hung up on me 3 times.  Then when I did get the phone to actually ring, it just said the next available agent will be with you and then I sat for over 5 mins waiting for someone to pick up the phone.

This is a scam. They called my mother asking for me at my old last name. I have been maried for 10 years. She said she was from Stone Whitman and associates. I never called back and as far as I know this is afake.

Seems like a SCAM. I was just phoned by "Civil Procedures" call center at (502) 164-7558. A very nice lady, Rebecca Lynd, said that I would need to be present tomorrow to be served with civil papers (not Criminal) She gave me the name of the company sending the papers, STONE WHITMAN, a case # and the companies # 888-895-8703. It sounded like a scam when Rebecca would not give me a # for the "call center" however it did appear on my phone. I had a lawyer friend of mine call Stone Whitman and upon identifying herself as a lawyer there was a busy tone. It happened three times exactly like that. I can go no further and don't like what they're up to. It would be scary for most people.

I recieved a call on my cell phone today stating that legal papers needed to be delivered to me.  The called again this evening and when I spoke with them they stated it was for a VISA Card with Northwest Visa that has been delinquent since 2002.  I regret that I gave them my last four.  This is obviously a scam.

My daughter recieved  a call on november 19 and a company called Stone and Whitman. They asked for me but with my last name being my maiden name and said that i owed on a visa from 15 years ago. I almost fell for it.

So I don't get it.. If it was a scam, wouldn't they have validated the fictitious SS number you gave as correct?

It seemed like these people had nothing better to do than to harass people.  They called me with the same nonsense trying to get me to verify last 4 of my SSN too.  I played along with their [***] just to [***] with them for bother my family members with this so called debt. But then they gave me some correct information which i ended up contacting an attorney to help... long story short turned out to be a credit card I had together with my EX-WIFE who ran it up. Turns out it was a debt of mine, but I have heard of scams like this before.  I can understand the skepticism which I had but they were on point with all the information from the credit card company including full SSN. I ended up paying these people for some [***] my EX-WIFE screwed me over on.

just got the call made my sister answer dude asked for me said first n last name I told her to ask who it was they said stone Whitman n ass. n a civil matter gave her a reference # n and I needed to call with in a couple of hours? hum sound familiar I think ill have my lawyer call to .....thanks

I got a call from a 425-164-7558 which is an invalid nuber so they are abviously using a blackberry or something like that they can change the number to. They wanted me to call 888 895 8706. Supposed to be a company in florida by the name Stone Whitman. It is supposed to be a civil suit filed against me. I told them if it was then they should have all the info they need to serve me and go ahead. They informed me they didnt have my physical address. Are you kidding? They have all my other info and not a current address. I'm not buying it.

I spoke with this same lady, Rebacca Lynd, yesterday, but the phone number showed up with our local area code of 281 and the same other digits of 164-7558.  No phone numbers start with the number 1, so yet another reason why this is bogus!

Scam..give them wrong numbers when they ask to confirm your social..they dont have a physical address are not"open to the public" I smell a rat
I have had my debit card sscammed//my checkiing account scammed ..now this...what are people doing besides sitting around trying to collect money or dupe people into sending them money'I for one know I have NO debt.. I just paid back a bankruptcy 100%//so they can move on to another victim

Easy to get info like that still sounds like you were scamed

Received a call from 786 364 3160, identified as Bk Agencie on my phone. He said he had some legal papers for someone with the same last name to deliver to my home address tomorrow, which he had. I said no one lived here by that name, but that I wanted to know why we occasionally received calls for this person. He gave said an organization called Stone Whitman had given him a sealed envelop to deliver, and he couldn't look inside. He referred me to 1-888-964-0811 and gave me a case number. A woman named Rebecca answered and said my phone number would be removed from that file, but she refused to tell me what sort of business she was representing. What government agencies police this sort of thing? My state attorney general? The Federal Communications Commission?

Maybe if you weren't a professional debtor you wouldn't be receiving these calls.
